I want to present this Life Chart to all my fellow Indian bloggers, with whom I've had such good correspondence. I also know that in India cricket is a religion and with a current population of 1.22 billion, it means that in the sub-continent cricket is huge. Australian batting legend (and current Test player) Mike Hussey said a couple of years ago :- "God. I've met him. He bats number four for India". This could only mean one player- the greatest run-scorer in the history of the game- Sachin Tendulkar.

Now I imagine many of my readers will never have heard of a Life Chart before, so to put it simply:- I examine a very small number of years in anyone's life to look for significant events. These are called 'Years of Revolution' (ie. ages 12,24 and 36) where upheavals and new eras commence and 'Years of Broken Pathways' (ie. ages 7,19 and 31) where challenges and new directions happen. I subscribe to the idea that we live our lives in 12 year cycles, that are of a similar broad nature. This is a totally new concept, but I imagine it may have some synchronicity to Eastern spiritualism, even though it is not a religion and is based solely on biographical evidence.

With regard to Sachin's illustrious career I am first going to visit the age of 19 . This is his first adult 'Life Cycles' significant year. Does it represent a challenge and a direction change? He already had begun his Test career at 16, so what does 19 hold? Any summary of his most important innings will include the magnificent counter-attacking 114 at the fast-paced WACA in the Fifth Test versus Australia (I apologise to non-cricket fans here....it must sound like a foreign language). India had lost the series and were well behind, when Tendulkar first made a big impression on the Aussies and announced his arrival on the international stage, with this fighting innings. We knew who he was after this. Fast bowler Merv Hughes quipped to Captain Allan Border :- "This little prick's going to make more runs than you AB" (which he did). He now had a reputation to defend and build on. This was his Broken Pathway.

Next we'll travel to his age 24 'Year of Revolution' (23rd April, 1997 to 23rd. April, 1998). Was he now at the height of his sporting powers, as so many other elite athletes are? Was he like Novak Djokovic, Tiger Woods or David Beckham? His biography clearly says that it was the beginning of a period at the top of the batting world, culminating in the Australian tour of India in early 1998. He not only scored three consecutive centuries but terrorised our spin bowlers (including Shane Warne) by charging down the pitch. He also took a five wicket haul in an ODI (One Day International) to steal victory. He also won the Rajiv Ghandi Khel Ratna (India's highest honour in Sports and literally 'Sport's Gem'). Is this enough for you?

Actually there is more that happened in this important year. We look for fateful moments in a person's life that shape the future. Sachin had taken over the captaincy in 1996 with great expectations that his own game would be imbued in other players. However results were disappointing and the prior captain, Azharuddin, took back the role in Sachin's 'Year of Revolution' saying he did not think:- "it was in the small man's destiny." This ultimately proved to be prophetic, as Sachin's second term as captain didn't work out well either and he resigned, with Ganguly taking over in 2000. He also refused an offer in 2007 after Dravid resigned.

Let's now travel to his age 31 'Year of Broken Pathways' (April, 2004 to April, 2005). Was there again a challenge and direction-altering moment? Was it again related to his reputation? I have set up the hypothesis just as any academic researcher would. I only have a window of 12 months to operate in. This is how a 'Life Chart' works. Now who knows their cricket? What am I going to discuss next? Of course it is his tennis elbow injury, which sidelined him for most of this fateful year. I read an article that said he pleaded with God every single day to be able to keep on batting. It could have ended his career and of course reshaped his reputation. He tried everything in the second half of 2004, including delicate surgery and shock treatment. His prayers (along with good doctors and physios), however were answered at the end of the year, when he returned with a double ton against Bangladesh.

It is also true of the challenge set up by the 'Year of Broken Pathway', that it takes several years to resolve. Was this so with Sachin? Yes, he had a poor 2007 World Cup in the West Indies and it was not till he was aged 34, that he fully recovered with Man of The Series Awards and leading run scorer against South Africa, England and Australia. So now this leads me to his last significant year; his age 36 'Year of Revolution' (April, 2009 to April, 2010). How was his new era ushered in? Would it feature retirement and new directions, or would he further consolidate his career as the best batsman ever after Don Bradman (Australian batsman with an average around twice everyone else's). In 2009 he had a string of injuries and mishaps and rested himself from some matches. Although towards the end he amassed 17,000 ODI runs, with a memorable 175 off just 141 against Australia, it was still not enough to win the match. His follow-up form against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the Tests was solid, but his defining moment was still to come. It was a statement making innings that says:- "I'm here as good as ever".

In the next 2 Test series against South Africa he made hundreds in both, but then in the subsequent ODI's he became the first batsman to score a double century with a very memorable 200 not out. This stands as one of his greatest innings. There is no doubt he was still at the top of his game, just as he was in his last age 24 'Year of Revolution'. He, of course, did not stop and followed this up in the next year by being part of the 2011 World Cup winning team.

This is the essence of 'The Little Master'. He combines the themes of sporting greatness along with the capacity to rise to the challenge of establishing and defending his fighting reputation. This is derived from analysing what happened in his adult 'Years of Revolution' (ie. a peak of greatness at 24 and 36) and 'Years of Broken Pathway' (ie. rising to the challenge at 19 and 31). They are linked themes that run through his life. What's more with 'Life Cycles' you don't have to believe in fate or destiny, you just have to study the biographical facts.

However, if you are inclined towards destiny, then you should know that there is a timetable I have uncovered. Please read all my other copious evidence if you want more proof. Until next month:- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

What's Wrong With The Self Development Industry?

We're not going to feature any one single life in this post, rather we'll look at what's good and bad about the Self Development industry and how it compares to 'Life Cycles'. I read estimates of the annual value of this industry as being around $10 billion, so there is no doubt it is big business. There are undoubtedly many sincere and professionally trained practitioners, who are providing a service to those who feel the need for extra motivation. But there are two major criticisms about the books written and products offered.

The first major area of concern is the attempt to link their findings to science and thus the badge of 'unquestioned reputation'. Be wary of any use of the term 'quantum'. I was drawn to this, because at the side of one of my ezine articles on 'Will the World End in Dec. 2012?' was an advert for the latest product called 'Quantum Jumping'. They have taken a pretended association with the great scientific minds of our time and suggested that you can have anything your heart desires by simply 'jumping into a new you in a parallel universe'. This is just an extension of the attempt by 'The Law of Attraction' brigade to suggest there is 'proof' of their notion of thoughts creating outcomes, by attempting to link it to quantum mechanics.

People often simply don't want to hear the unvarnished truth. Life is difficult. Growth takes time, sacrifice, courage and maturity. All of us can expect both breakthroughs and setbacks and sometimes long periods inbetween. We are not all blessed with outstanding natural abilities, that mean we are destined to be discovered and lauded. However every life has meaning and every path will lead to outcomes. I recently saw an interview, where it showed the same people who bought these books/courses etc., were buying more of them at 12 to 18 month intervals. That is because they create a 'feel good' atmosphere, but do not substantially change behaviour. This leads me to my second criticism of the Self Development industry. They have no professional standards.

Anyone can write a book in this genre with a degree of application. You simply read ten books and then combine what you consider are the best sections or ideas. Most of the ideas however, feature some form of instant gratification. Riches and fame and romantic success will all be yours in a very short time, provided you follow/purchase the system. It's not vastly different from the snake-oil salesmen of the old west. Even people within the industry are critical of it's lack of standards. It relies on a natural preference for taking the 'easy path' rather than working hard to reach your goals.

Why do I do this rant? I may even cause some offence by it, although others have said exactly the same thing. Aren't I just some funny extension of this industry myself? I do it for the simple reason of comparison. 'Life Cycles' is based on reasoned analysis of what actually happened in people's lives. It is not science, because there can always be some subjectivity in the interpretation and I do selectively look at certain years, however it offers the kind of proof none of these other systems can. It is 1. New Knowledge and 2. Self Knowledge, but I make no attempt to suggest you can get rich quick or acquire skills overnight.

Let's look together at the evidence presented to you in both blogs in the year 2011. Rosa Parks/James Blake (ages 31/43 almost identical turning points). Napoleon at 43 (in 1812). George VI at 31/43. Donald Trump at 36/43. Prince William and Catherine at 19/24. Mr. Arafinto at 43/48/55. Novak Djokovic at 7/12/19/24 and Cleopatra at 19/24/31/36. Steve Jobs at 19/24/31/36, Rebekah Brooks at 31/43, Cadel Evans at 7/12/19/24/31 and Freddie Laker at 24/31/36/43/48/55/60. Miranda Kerr/Megan Gale/Heidi Klum at 24. Kristian Anderson at 36. Carl Williams/Matthew Johnson at 36. Todd Carney/Anthony Watts/Greg Bird/Katie Milligan/Brett Stewart at 24. Carl Stefanovic/Asher Keddie at 36. Clyde/Kerry and Jamie Packer at 36. Sarah Mamalai/Sharon Cohrs at 36. Judith Lucy at 36/43. Jodie Gordon at 24. Liz Hurley at 36. Demi Moore at 48. John Farnham/John Williamson at 36. David Beckham/Tiger Woods at 24 and during 36.

That's 70 detailed case history examples taken from real life and sometimes quite spontaneously, because they were in the spotlight (like Djokovic, Jobs, Arafinto, Prince William and Catherine and others). I try to be as objective as possible in charting the important turning points in these years, but let's say you are a hard marker and only let me have half these examples. What's the odds of randomly picking 35 consecutive major turning points in this way? If I take the crude measure of a 1 out of 6 chance each time (because I say we have two significant years in every twelve), then it's 1,719,070,800,000,000,000,000,000,000 to 1. That's 1,719 trillion, trillion to 1.

If you're not familiar with my blogs and my posts I invite you to read all my work and judge for yourself. Yet I come to you in 'brown paper wrapping', I don't make false promises and there is nothing else out there like this. The revolution starts this year and as I have been quoted as saying:- "You can't be a quiet revolutionary". Till we meet again next month; may the cycles always bring you good fortune.

Come Fly With Me-The Life Chart of Sir Freddie Laker

You should have known Freddie, he was one of the good guys. He was an archetypal capitalist hero; innovative, adventurous and resilient. More than anyone else he redefined cheap holiday airfares for ordinary people and struck the first blow at over-priced scheduled airfares, with the launch of Skytrain. Now Freddie unfortunately is no longer with us and the likes of Richard Branson have taken over his mantle of independent budget airlines, but we are going to look at his Life Chart, to see the almost perfect sequence of related Revolution and Broken Pathways Years that occurred. Remember it is the linked themes of all these years that makes Life Cycles evidence so powerful. I mean it's no good if I have this template and I can find no reasonable supporting data. I've actually seen some appalling data for some other theories; where either everything is so general nothing gets proven, or worse still it is self-contradictory. No, you've got one determined and disciplined researcher here and good luck if you think I'll disappear off the radar.

When Freddie was in his first adult age 24 'Year of Revolution' (August, 1946 to August, 1947) he began working for a new aviation group-London Aero and Motor Services in Dec, 1946 at Sansted. They had six Halifax bombers converted for civilian use and a young Freddie, working as a Flight Engineer, saw the potential in all this. Soon after, in Oct. 1947, he set up his first company, Aviation Traders, with a loan of some 38,000 pounds from a rich friend. It wasn't long before the Soviet Blockade of West Berlin provided almost a year's worth of work for all his aircraft and he made his first fortune. This was his first new age/direction. Next we come to his important mid-life age 36 'Year of Revolution'. What was his new age then and was it related to the same theme of entrepreneurship and aviation? He was getting frustrated by his inability to gain entry to mainstream aviation, however in this year (August, 1958 to August, 1959) he sold his three companies to the Airwick Group for 800,000 pounds (around 20 million today). This group then merged with Hunting-Clan in the next year and he became Managing Director of the new entity-British United Airways. This consolidated his finances and gave him a more important reputation. He had 'burst upon the scene' as a major industry player, as so many people do in one way or another in this important mid-life 'Year of Revolution'. It was clearly his second adult new age/direction. His company became half the size of British European Airways.

Now let's progress another twelve years and set up a further hypothesis. What happened in Freddie's 48th 'Year of Revolution' (Aug. 1970 to Aug.1971) to show evidence of new beginnings? On 15th June, 1971 Laker Airlines submitted an application to launch the first daily low-budget transatlantic service between London and New York. This was to prove a difficult task and with various delays took a full seven years before it got up and running. It was definitely the ushering in of his next new age/direction, even though it did not happen overnight. His eventual main reputation with Skytrain was linked to this and became the template for others like Richard Branson.

Let's try his age 60 'Year of Revolution' (Aug. 1982 to Aug. 1983) shall we. What happens if we set up the same hypothesis? Remember each time it is increasingly more difficult to find supporting evidence. What would be the odds of these events happening by chance alone? Just before his 60th birthday Laker Airlines went spectacularly bust with debts of 264 million pounds. The last flight was on 5th Feb, 1982. Undaunted, Freddie immediately hit back with public support and a relief fund, which managed to raise over 1 million pounds and was backed by the band- The Police. It became obvious however, during his 'Year of Revolution', that ten major airlines (including B.A. Pan Am and Lufthansa) had plotted his downfall. They then threatened McDonnell Douglas that they would buy elsewhere it if re-scheduled Laker's debt. This led on to Freddie suing them and years of legal wrangling and negotiations, with an eventual out of court settlement ensuing. In this year Laker retreated to live most of the rest of his life in the Bahamas. It was definitely the beginning of his new age/direction at this time. He had now effectively 'left the stage he had been upon'.

Oh, and by the way, just for good measure I can show an obvious challenge at each and every 'Year of Broken Pathways'. That is at ages 31, 43, 55, and most probably 19 and 67 as well. At 31, he began his second airline venture Channel Air Bridge, flying cars and their owners from Southend to Calais. At 43, he resigned from British United to form his own airline -Laker Airways- initially flying charter flights with a pair of turbo-prop planes. At 55, his long running application to get Skytrain working was settled and the first London-New York flight happened 26th Sept. 1977. Can't you see the obvious similarity in all these 'Years of Broken Pathways'? He begins the challenge of initial flights or new and spin-off business ventures. In each and every 'Year of Revolution' he begins a new business direction, that is not always of his own making. If that friend hadn't lent him money in 1947 or if he hadn't been offered a position following the merger in 1959, or submitted a transatlantic application in 1971, or been driven out of the UK by the 'big boys' in 1983, he wouldn't have had a new age/direction.

Think about the power of 'Life Cycles' analysis. Then think about this. No-one has done anything remotely like this before. I'm one voice. Should you listen to me? There's plenty of 'great pretenders' out there. Just remember that. Until next month:- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

News For The World-The Life Chart Of Rebekah Brooks

Now we are going to explore a new aspect of the Life Chart. We are going to ask a seemingly simple and innocuous question :- "If we just have a twelve year cycle to describe all lives, then what is it that makes it a true cycle?" I mean if we were to take the Cadel Evans 'Life Chart', featuring the mountain biking/BMX era ushered at 12 and then the road racing era ushered in at 24, why do I contend he's simply repeating the same cycle and not simply entering a brand new 12 year cycle? Surely it's enough that I can supply highly statistically significant data for the two Life Cycles 'Years of Revolution'. However I go further. I radically contend that if you analyse on the symbolic level, then you would see the same themes being repeated. Not the same actions-but the same themes. If you think about it closely enough you will see it gives you a brand new perspective on life.

Anyway, now to this month's, I'm sure, somewhat reluctant participant- Rebekah Brooks. The former News Of The World editor, whose dubious ethics have resulted in the paper being shut down and her being charged with illegal phone tapping. Although she resigned and is now still on bail, she has just received a hefty multi-million pound payout from Rupert Murdoch. Is she in a Life Cycles 'significant year'when this is happening? Yes she is 43, when all this and potentially much more is unfolding. Like a modern-day Napoleon, she can feel the Russian Campaign ever tightening it's grip. (the Emperor was 43 in 1812, if you remember). This is a textbook 'Year of Broken Pathways', including the monumental challenge and the slow sinking in of the reality of the new world she will inhabit. She even refused to resign at first (much like when Napoleon expected a Russian surrender), until News Corporation's second largest shareholder called for it in a BBC interview. Now let's turn the clock back 12 years. She's now 31, not 43. Where is she now?

It is well recorded that she became one of the youngest-ever Fleet Street editors when, at 31, she took the top job at News Of The World in May, 2000. It was not long before controversy surrounded her. She was vilified for publishing the names and photographs of known sex offenders following the murder of schoolgirl Sarah Payne. Police accused her of "grossly irresponsible journalism", that was wrecking investigations, driving paedophiles underground and causing mobs to riot in Portsmouth. In one instance a paediatrician had her house vandalised, because of confusion with this word and the word paedophile. Yet the paper sold an extra 95,000 copies a week. Critics accused her of trying to cash in on Sarah's death, but she defended the paper's actions in a David Frost interview. Then in early 2002, she became embroiled in the Milly Dowler murder, which has led directly to where she is today. Millie was a 13 year old schoolgirl and News reporters had hacked into her voicemail when she was reported missing.

Of course, since then many celebrities have come forward with complaints of a similar nature. This material is not pretty, but it does tell a consistent story. In the overly-ambitious quest for power, she has broken all ethical standards and these tactics have been brought into the open, beginning at both her age 31 'Year of Broken Pathways' and again in a more dramatic fashion in her age 43 'Year of Broken Pathways'. This is a linked theme of her life. Could I demonstrate it in her only other 'Broken Pathways' year at 19? Perhaps, but it would be difficult to access, as this part of her life in Paris seems a closed book. However one thing we do know is that she has doctored her academic data to imply she had a degree from the Sorbonne, which of course she did not and that she was an exceptionally ambitious young person even then. Prepared, no doubt, to do 'whatever it took'. Next month I'll return with a more uplifting case and until then:- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Cadel Evans' Life Chart-At The Top Of The Mountain

Hello for October. My next guest is very big news in the sport of cycling and both a proud Australian and a true world figure- Cadel Evans. Without a doubt this gruelling cycling marathon around France must be one of the greatest endurance sporting events on the calendar. My son is very fit and an avid cyclist. A little while ago he completed just one leg of the contest, involving the hilliest part of the Tour. Keen amateurs and former racers did this 'for fun' and less than half the field completed the one day torture course. In a totally different way my 'Life Charts' are a theoretical marathon, as I slowly research my subject's lives and try to piece together just the co-incidences, with such a small number of years. Against all seeming odds, good evidence often appears.

Let's begin at the beginning. The very first year in someone's 'Life Chart' is their age 7 'Year of Broken Pathways'. Does anything happen? Does it feature a challenge or direction change? The record shows that at age 7 a young Cadel was kicked in the head by a horse, rushed to hospital and goes into a coma. Doctors advised he may be permanently crippled and have other issues. His mother stays constantly by his bedside trying to be positive. Eventually Cadel comes conscious and is miraculously physically intact. For months later he suffers from headaches and palsy on one side of his face, but through determination comes through all this.

Now let's skip forward to when he was aged 12 and in his first remembered 'Year of Revolution'. Was there any new age/direction that was ushered in by fateful events? Well the story, as told by his excellent biography "Almost Flying", is that just before turning 12 in late 1988, he goes on his first ever mountain bike race and completes only one lap before retiring exhausted. He had ridden out too hard. After this he swore he'd never race on mountains again. Six months later he relented and then in his first up race comes second, and wins every other race he went in that year. Unfortunately the book doesn't say why this happened, or if he was encouraged by someone else....I'd have to interview him personally for this (which would be a rare treat). This was the ushering in of his new age/direction and to be the genesis, a couple of years later, of his highly successful BMX era.

Now we jump to his first adult 'Year of Broken Pathways' at age 19. What may have been his challenge and direction change then? He was at the Australian Institute of Sport when his coach, Damian Grundy, was appointed to coach the brand new Olympic discipline of mountain biking. He was encouraged to go for the Atlanta squad. Grundy says there was no guarantee he'd make the squad or race at Atlanta, but he did and he came 9th, and was now in the World top 10. It was said by the Head AIS cycling coach, that making mountain biking an Olympic sport changed everything. It was now taken seriously for the first time. His challenge was to build a reputation as an Olympian as well as BMX specialist and he went on to compete at the Sydney, 2000 Games.

Now to his first adult age 24 'Year of Revolution'. For those whose career begins early this is often an important age, rather than just a career beginning. Cadel states that in the year before he was 24, he realised that he had reached all the goals he could in BMX/mountain biking. and that he felt he needed a fresh challenge. His biography uses this exact phrase:- " In 2001 (at 24) he began a new cycle in his life" when he took up road racing and by the end of the year had totally given up mountain biking. He had been advised in 2000 by Michele Ferrari to give this a go and in 2001 joined the prestigious Italian team-Saeco. There is no question that it was his new age/direction.

OK, we're now down to the last of his current 'significant years', when he was 31 (in 2008) and in another 'Year of Broken Pathways' What was the challenge and direction change and why did it lead on to his recent Tour De France victory? There's a good 2000 word essay in this. So it's 2008 and Evans is favourite to win the Tour for the first time, as Contador can't compete. He holds the yellow jersey for stages 10-14, but goes on to come second by 58 seconds. On the night the Tour ended, he slipped on a wet dance floor in Paris and ruptured his cruciate ligament, which ended his hopes for Olympic glory in Beijing, even though he bravely competed. So, the challenge is now obvious- win the Tour. You're not going to be happy with just second and particularly when you were expected to win.

Now he went on to win this year, but it's not in one of my 'significant years'. Why do I say he's 'at the top of the mountain'? Well to find out for yourselves, you're just going to have to read the full incredible, and I promise you mind-blowing, 'Life Cycles' theory, in my soon to be released book 'The Life Cycles Revolution'. This isn't yet ready however, but I'll tell you when it is. Think about the Cadel Evans eras. At 12, begins the mountain bike era. At 24, begins the road racing era. This is as straightforward as Novak Djokovic and parallel to Steve Jobs. Just lucky again? What about if it's not luck? Till we meet again:- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

iEvidence-The Life Chart of Steve Jobs

Steve has been in the news lately for the wrong reasons. His on-going battle with cancer has meant he has had to step down as CEO of the company he founded-Apple Inc. Although still Chairman of the Board, he has knighted his successor for the day-to-day role. Now I'm not much of an IT type (strictly home grown), so I decided to do some research on why Apple were putting an 'i' in front of products like an iPod? The answer for the iPod, was back in 2000 a consultant likened the new product to a scene from the movie '2001-A Space Odessey'....so it really stands for nothing in particular. However the whole world knows about it and uses it in everyday speech. That's kind of the exact opposite of 'Life Cycles'. It's known only to a small community, but it does represent something very important indeed: the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle known as 'The Meaning of Life'. That's a big claim I know, but each time I find straightforward evidence, it becomes harder and harder to just dismiss it out of hand. So, in honour of Steve Jobs, let's have a look at his Life Chart together and call it iEvidence.

Let's start with Steve's age 19 'Year of Broken Pathways' (Feb.1974 to Feb.1975). Were there any turning points and challenges? He had dropped out of college and had returned to California, attending weekly meetings of the Homebrew Computer Club and taking a summer job at Atari to get money to go to India. When he got to India he backpacked around, attended an ashram, became a Buddhist (which he still is) and returned with his head shaved. His best friend Steve Wozniak said:- "he was into everything hippy". There is no question, that according to him, this changed his direction and shaped his life. He also began his working career with computers. His challenge became how to integrate these values, a couple of years later, into his computing start-up company called Apple.

Now let's skip forward to his first age 24 'Year of Revolution' (Feb.1979 to Feb.1980). What sort of upheaval and new age happened then? This was not the founding of Apple, as this had already happened, but it was the birth of the Macintosh project (in Sept.1979) and the accidental discovery by Jobs of the thing that changed personal computing forever. He made a visit to Rank Xerox's research facility in Palo Alto (in Dec.1979), where he saw the 'mouse-driven graphical user interface' and had the now widely-reported and legendary epiphany about how to incorporate it into the Mac. I know, I know. I'm beginning to sound like a geek, but that's because I need to inhabit my subject's world, whoever they are. These fateful breakthrough moment's are exactly what characterises a 'Year of Revolution'.

OK, so far so good, now where to next? The answer is always straight to his age 31 'Year of Broken Pathways' (Feb.1986 to Feb.1987). What was the turning point and challenge in his life then? Well he had just left the company he founded due to management issues (he returned to Apple in 1996) and an opportunity to purchase Pixar (the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm) came up. This went on to lose Jobs quite a large amount of money in development for the first few years, but it also went on to make him his first billion. It was also in this year that the Pixar short animation 'Luxo Jr.' had it's world premiere. Is this enough of a new direction and challenge? Does it meet every definition of 'Year of Broken Pathways' including the several years of an uphill struggle? You betcha.

Now let's try his age 36 mid-life 'Year of Revolution' (Feb.1991 to Feb. 1992). What was the upheaval and new age then? This period was dominated by two events. The first was his Buddhist marriage to Laurene Powell, by whom he has three children, the first one being born about six months later. The second was the signing of an agreement with Disney Studios in May,1991 to produce six animated feature films. Each of these films has gone on to sweep across the US and the rest of the world, producing great wealth as well as awards and honours. Jobs went on to become Disney's largest shareholder, with a seat on the Board. Can you see his commercial success spelled out in capital letters in each 'Year of Revolution'? Age 24:- Birth of 'The Apple Mac. Era.' Age 36:-Birth of 'the Disney/Pixar Era.' It's plain as the nose on your face.

I can do more of course, but I'm running out of puff. Now here is your question. What is more important at the end of the day:- the Apple letter 'i' in iPod, which means effectively nothing, or the highly statistically significant 'Life Cycles' theory, which is largely unknown but contains an enormous wealth of meaning? You be the judge. Till we meet again:- "May the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Just Who's Revolution Is It Anyway? - US Open Men's Final-Djokovic v. Nadal

Hi to everyone! I've been immersed in the epilogue for 'The Life Cycles Revolution', so I haven't been very active with the blog. However I want to change all that and give you this post as a bonus extra for September-the main story will follow. This is really by way of showing you 'Life Cycles' theory in action. My attention was originally drawn to a comment by Most Profound (who has one of my favourite blogs and is also one of my favourite people on Blogoshere), when he left a comment on my post on Djokovic saying :- "It will be interesting to see how the future goes for him". Because I often take the long view, I was thinking of his next 'significant year', which was seven years away. Of course the comment was made post-Wimbledon, but pre-US Open, so I along with many others took a close look at this prestigious tournament.

In order to understand anything from a 'Life Cycles' perspective you have to ask what happened to the person in their last 'significant year'. This is very straightforward. When I saw Nadal cruise his way through to the final by brushing aside World No. 4 Andy Murray, I asked myself 'How old is he?'. The answer was 'he was 25' (born 3rd June, 1986). So what were things like for him when he was aged 24 (3rd June, 2010 to 3rd June, 2011)? The first fact I noticed, is that in this year he regained the World No.1 ranking by winning his 5th French Open title. This occurred when Federer lost to Soderling in the quarters, so things were working for him. He held it for the rest of this 12 month period, in spite of his losses to Djokovic. He next won Wimbledon and the US Open, clinching the year end No.1 title. He ended the year winning 3 Slams, 3 Masters and edging out Roger Federer for the first time for the Sportamanship Award (which he had held for the last 6 years). It was described by commentators as 'an incredible season'. Will history see it as a high-water mark? Too soon to tell, but it was a career peak and he was on top. This was all in his 'Year of Revolution'. Where was 23 year-old Novak Djokovic then? It was all Nadal and Federer.

Now you all know that Novak turned 24 in May, 2011 and I already covered what happened to him in the Wimbledon Final. He was now indisputably World No.1 and he simply outplayed Rafa that day. It was now his 'Year of Revolution'. His turn in the sun. So now to Flushing Meadow. Things did not look good in the semi-final against Roger, who had been playing superb tennis and had the crowd behind him. He won the first two sets and was leading 5-3 in the fifth with 40-15 and 2 match points. What chance Novak? You'd have no takers on Sportsbet I'd reckon. Then in Novak's own words :- "I decided to gamble it all on a service return. These shots go out as much as they go in." He returned a Federer 180km first serve with a crashing forehand to win this critical point. Roger went on to lose the game and the set and the match from here. This is the power of the 'Year of Revolution'. This is the fateful turning point, when the tide is at its fullest. He had such a moment at Wimbledon as well if you remember.

So now to the Men's Final. Just who's 'Year of Revolution' was it anyway? Rafa tried supremely hard throughout this scintillating final, full of tennis at the very highest level. He rallied and won the 4th set tie-break, but it did him no good at the end of the day. Novak had his measure. He is now talked of as the better all-round athlete (something Rafa held unopposed last year). He is agile and tough and his attitude is solid. Stay in the moment and don't get temperamental. There is no doubt it's Novak's year. He's on top. Yes it's his Revolution.

If you think I'm just lucky or I only point out the good stuff, just wait till you read my devastating evidence in 'The Life Cycles Revolution'. I actually lay an open challenge to the sceptics to prove me wrong! No other theory can or would be able to do this, I'll be back soon so don't go away.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://lifecycles-by-neil-killion.blogspot.com/2011/09/just-whos-revolution-is-it-anyway-us.html' title='Just Who's Revolution Is It Anyway? - US Open Men's Final-Djokovic v. She has achieved a form of immortality through her extraordinary life. She and Marc Antony were the original power couple long before the term was ever heard. Just about everyone knows her story and that's what makes it so interesting for me. If I can show a credible correlation of her life's major turning points and 'Life Cycles' theory, it becomes some of the most stunning objective evidence you will ever see. Can other systems of knowledge replicate this kind of result? I think not.

She was featured in many books and movies and played by a variety of actresses- Elizabeth Taylor being the most famous. In terms of her 'Life Chart', it is reasonable to go to her first adult 'Year of Broken Pathways' at age 19 (Oct. 50BC to Oct. 49BC), to see what fateful events happened to her, to change her destiny. It is recorded that at 18 she became Queen Cleopatra VII, but shared power with her younger brother. When she was in her age 19 'Year of Broken Pathways', she became the bitter enemy of the Gabiniani. These were the Roman troops, who protected the throne, and had adopted the ways of Egypt and become alienated from Rome. They refused a request of the sons of the Syrian Governor to fight the Parthians, because they liked their comfortable life and had murdered them instead. Cleopatra, who wanted to be pro-Roman, had the assailants arrested and handed over. This break with the Gabiniani was to be the main cause of her loss of power, which soon ensued.

Next we go to her first adult age 24 'Year of Revolution' (Oct. 45BC to Oct. 44BC). There is no doubt that this was the period in which Julius Caesar was murdered in the Senate. She had born him a son called Caesarion and was living with him in Rome. The fact that Caesar planned to marry her outraged the conservative Republicans, as it broke the laws against bigamy and marrying foreigners. She was seen as a dangerous seductress. The 1963 movie shows a scene the day before his death, when Caesar wanted absolute control as Emperor, which would have given Cleopatra everything she desired. However, in one fateful day it was all brought undone and she had to flee Rome instead. This was her personal 'new age' and the very definition of what a 'Year of Revolution' stands for.

Then we visit her next 'significant year', which is her age 31 'Year of Broken Pathways' (Oct. 38BC to Oct. 37BC). There is a famous scene from the movie, which shows Cleopatra being summonsed to Antioch by her lover Marc Antony and arriving in splendour on her Royal Barge. They get married in this year, which involves Antony later having to divorce his wife, who is the sister of Octavian (co-ruler of Rome). This is a very fateful turning point, because it legitimises the children born to Cleopatra and gives her continued political power as Pharaoh. It also earns her the bitter rivalry of Octavian and is not dissimilar in nature, to what she did at 19 with the Gabiniani, It is also to lead on to the 'Donations of Alexandria' (34 BC), in which Antony cedes much of Rome's territory in the east to Cleopatra. It is again the very embodiment of what a 'Year of Broken Pathways' stands for.

Finally to her last 'significant year', which is her age 36 'Year of Revolution' (Oct. 33BC to Oct. 32BC). Cleopatra issued a coin with Antony's portrait on one side and hers on the other. The inscription read 'Queen of Kings and her sons who are Kings'. This combined with Antony's intention to establish a second Senate in Alexandra was the perfect moment to get an inquiry started to strip Antony of his power. Octavian illegally seized Antony's will. The Senate apparently were not moved by making Caesarion as Caesar's legal heir, or leaving his estate to Cleopatra's children; but it was his desire to be buried alongside her in Alexandria that outraged them. The Senate declared war on Cleopatra, which of course meant Antony as well. This was her fateful turning point. It was to directly lead to the Battle of Actium and the demise of both her and Marc Antony. It was of the exact same character as what happened to her at 24. The split with Rome after being tantalisingly close to achieving her lifetime ambition, with the restoration of the Ptolemaic Dynasty and inheritance by her successors of the Roman Empire.

This is how a 'Life chart' is constructed. It says quite simply:- can analysis of what happened in the 'significant years' tell a cohesive story of some of the main events in a person's life? Moreover are the themes of the 'Years of Revolution' and 'Years of Broken Pathways' linked, so that they reveal your life's true purpose? Don't for one minute think, that something as seemingly remote as the 2,000 year old story of Cleopatra, cannot be duplicated by someone making the news right now. Next month we are going to analyse another woman in the news, whose attraction to power brought her undone.......who is she? Till then:- may the cycles always bring you good fortune.

The Best Day of My Life-The Life Chart of Novak Djokovic

I admit I had a famous historic personality all lined up for this month, but I just witnessed such an inspiring Wimbledon Final between Djokovic and Nadal, that I had to do a quick check of Novak's young life. I am a life-long tennis player and a keen fan, so this was not entirely by accident. There is wonderful drama in sport and you don't even need to be a follower to get caught up in it. Just about everyone knows Wimbledon -it's the pinnacle of world tennis. When Novak lifted the trophy he declared:- "This is the best day of my life!" Let's examine why this is so typical of what can happen in a 'Year of Revolution'. Let's then do a quick 'Life Chart' analysis and examine, as much as we can, his 'significant years'. 'Life Cycles' is unerringly accurate and remember I did this 'at the drop of a hat'.

Novak turned 24 on 22nd. May this year. It ushered in his 'Year of Revolution'. Often the most significant time in the life of a young adult. What happened to him? Just recently he learned, that on making the Wimbledon final, he had become World No. 1. This capped off a remarkable year so far. He, however, didn't see it that way. He said that it meant so much more to win at Wimbledon, than to get the top ranking. This was his dream, that he had since he was a small child. Even though he had victories over Nadal recently, he had to do it again on the grandest stage of all. There was a moment in the second set (which Djokovic won 6-1); when after a long rally he got an almost impossible drop shot return, for a cross-court winner. His box rose as one, their fists in the air and Novak thumped his heart and let out a 'primal shout'. This is the fateful moment, you don't know what you can do until you do it.

Could this match have gone either way? Few would doubt there could have been a five set upset to Nadal with the scores 3-3 in the fourth set. But it was Novak's day and his destiny. This is how many of us can feel in such a variety of ways in our lives and often it can correlate with being in a 'Year of Revolution'. Now in order to do his 'Life Chart' we simply try to get material on his only other remembered 'Year of Revolution' at age 12 and then see what, if anything, happened in his two 'Years of Broken Pathway' at 7 and 19.

Let's take his age 12 'Year of Revolution' first. His official website confirms that it was at age 12, he first went on an unaccompanied 3 month trip to Nikola Pilic's famous Tennis Academy in Munich, Germany. Up till then his parents went with him everywhere and as they were not a rich family, this was a personal sacrifice they made. It was a character forming time for him and taught him independence at a young age. His association with the Academy went on for quite a few years and was the basis of his entry into top-level junior tennis. There is no doubt that his first 'Year of Revolution' ushered in a new age in his life and a high point.

Let's fast forward now to Novak's age 19, 'Year of Broken Pathways' (May, 2006 to May, 2007). We are looking for direction-altering moments. The first thing I see is that there was a strong rumour in May, 2006, that the entire Djokovic family might emigrate to the UK. The drama surrounding this did not affect his play however and his path to the top commenced, when he reached the fourth round at Wimbledon and then his first-ever tournament victory in the Dutch Open (without losing a set). After a second tournament win he reached the world Top 20. His own biography section says of 2007:- "and then the dream year arrived". It said his career 'took off' after his Master's performances at Indian Wells (losing to Nadal in the final) and his first Master's victory at Miami (known as the fifth Grand Slam). He was now a confirmed Top 10 player and capable of beating the best. Yes, this was all within his 'Year of Broken Pathways'. His direction was to the very top of world tennis and his challenge was to get there.

Finally let's go back in time to his age 7, 'Year of Broken Pathways'. could anything have happened then? He took up tennis at age 4, running after the older kids at tennis camp and trying to hit the ball over the net. However at age 7, he was discovered by the famous coach Jelena Gencic. She said:-"this is the greatest talent I have seen since Monica Seles". As his coach, she has been attributed as 'creating his career and instilling in him the right attitude to sport and to life'. There is no doubt he owes her a great deal. This was his direction-altering moment and his challenge was to learn all he could.

So can you see for yourselves how a 'Life Chart' builds for such a talented young adult. Each of the 'Life Cycles' significant years represents a tangible milestone in his life, that can be measured objectively. Am I continually just lucky? Actually the odds on me being correct are astronomical, but of course it doesn't seem that way. Unless, of course, I'm correct and 'Life Cycles' is the newest and the best form of Life Analysis there is. So straightforward it's almost science.

My guest next month has waited some two thousand years to be unveiled so I hope she won't mind waiting a little while longer. Tell me who it is? Until then:- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Hello Indonesia-The Life Chart of Mr. Arifinto

One of the great joys of blogging is checking your stats (as I'm sure most of you do) and seeing, on some occasions, the wide variety of countries that are represented. A recent example for me was the 10 page views on the Royal Wedding post from Iran. It is a rare privilege to think that someone from that country may have read about 'Life Cycles'. I believe my topic is a universal one and new knowledge is always appreciated by some people. Also, when I see smaller countries like Guadalupe and Nepal in the list, as well as the well-known larger ones, it is very rewarding.

However I have a special greeting for the people of Indonesia. Ever since the popularity of my 'Tree Man' post last year (which I regard as a personal favourite); I am aware that I have a larger than expected following in the country, which lies just to the north of mine. So in honour of your country I will present another story of one of your citizens. This time the nature of the saga is a high-profile meltdown, but the intent is to show that by playing detective you can piece together a portion of a 'Life Chart' from very little information.

Mr. Arifinto (no article I read mentioned his first name) was until recently a senior politician in the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), which was a Conservative Muslim party in Indonesia. He had responsibility as a lawmaker and was a founding member of the Party. He was photographed by a journalist in Parliament watching a pornographic movie, on what was called a 'tablet computer'. He at first tried to brazen it out, by saying that he didn't do this intentionally and that he had opened an email attachment by accident. However his screen was shown to be full of thumbnails of different sex videos. This caused huge embarrassment because the PKS were the most aggressive advocates of the 2008 Anti-Pornography Law. So what has this got to do with 'Life Cycles'. The thing that first drew my attention was that he was said to be 55 years of age at the time and thus in his 'Year of Broken Pathways'. This totally unexpected scandal was his challenge, that was set to last for the rest of the years of his current cycle. More dramatic than most, but it meets every criteria. It could never have been foreseen and try as he might to squirm out of it, his life altered for good and all at that moment.

In fact he virtually tells us what lies ahead as he tries to climb the mountain to seek redemption. The Shariah Board will dismiss him from it's advisory council and he will apologise to the Party and seek religious forgiveness:- reciting the Koran and engaging in acts of piety. He doesn't want to leave the Party or political life, so I'm sure it'll be several years in the wilderness for him. Now how do you construct part of a 'Life Chart' from this? I could find no biography and no career summary and as I said no-one even mentioned his first name.

All I had to go on was that he was a founding member of his Party, so I went to a profile of the PKS Party. The Party was established as the Justice Party on July,20 1998, when I would estimate that he was aged 42. What event happened in the next year (being his 43rd 'Year of Broken Pathways') that would have provided a much younger Mr. Arifinto with a challenge? The answer, in fact, does exist. In the June, 1999 general elections (when he was aged 43) the Party failed to get the required 2% vote to contest the next 2004 elections. In other words they couldn't survive on their own. He would obviously have been challenged and was trying to come up with strategies for the future. Then, in 2002, they merged to become the Prosperous Justice Party.

So, following this, is there evidence of an upheaval and new direction for Mr. Arifinto when he was in his next 'significant year', which was his 48th 'Year of Revolution'? Remember 'Life Cycles' can set up some exacting tests and I use only the public record. Once again though the answer is 'Yes', for in the April, 2004 elections (when he was clearly aged 48) the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) won 7.3% of the vote (giving it 45 out of 550 seats). They were now the seventh largest party and his political career reached a new high and it was his new age/direction. Can you see how 'Life Cycles' operates in the life of Mr. Arifinto? As always, if I can't ever find any supporting evidence for what I say, I would simply fade away and just play tennis, chess and poker. But that is not how it goes. I have the evidence in abundance. I know I have a mission and it is the most important contribution I will ever make.

So please let me know if you enjoy this post and if you would like me to feature someone from your country in the future. One thing I know for sure is that 'Life Cycles' only has meaning if it can relate to you personally. As always I wish you well and until next time:- may the cycles always bring you good fortune.

The 'Life Charts' of Prince William and Catherine

Hello again. There's certainly been a massive amount of publicity to do with the Royal Wedding. It was a marvelous occasion and I personally loved the use of greenery in Westminster Abbey, along with the inspiring music. It seemed to me to be a perfect blend of old and new and there was something about their traditional service and dress, that evoked a 'bygone age'. You would not otherwise know that I featured Lady Diana Spencer in my 'Famous Lives' chapter of the book. So if you want to know what really makes Di tick, then just grab yourself a copy and check it out.

It is therefore only fitting in some regards, that I should also feature her son William and his bride Catherine. Now things are more straightforward in 'Life Chart' terms if you're under 30. You have not yet lived that long and you have only experienced one adult 'Year of Broken Pathways' at age 19 and one adult 'Year of Revolution' at age 24. So, apart from the two childhood 'significant years' of 7 and 12, these may be the only real glimpse of the themes of your life. Don't worry about that phrase :- "the themes of your life" just yet, as I am going to teach it to you a bit later on this year.

Now let's check our facts out togerher, shall we? It transpires that William and Catherine were actually both born in 1982 (Catherine first on 9th. Jan. and William on 21st. June). This means that they are both in their age 19, 'Year of Broken Pathways' for at least a portion of the year (21st. June 2001 to 9th, January 2002). This shared time in a personal year, that repesents a turning point and a challenge, has a special name....but once again this is in advance of where we are up to in your education, so I'll have to leave it alone for now.

So, what happened in this time? Now who is in fact miles ahead of me here? Where did William and Catherine meet and when? That's right it was at St. Andrew's University in Term One, 2001. This is smack in the middle of both their age 19 'Years of Broken Pathway'. There is an amusing anecdote that I read of their first meeting, where Catherine is introduced William Wales (as he was known at University) at a nearby pub. Catherine got quite embarrassed and did a curtsy and then William got surprised and spilled his beer over himself.

There was a fateful quality to this meeting as history now attests. Also while William was still within his age 19 'Year of Broken Pathways' he bought a ticket (for around $300) to be in the first row of a fashion show that Catherine modelled in; wearing that now famous dress. They were friends at that stage, sharing student digs along with others, but he was heard to exclaim:- "Wow! Kate's hot." when she came down the catwalk. This well recorded moment also had a 'fateful turning point' nature to it. No relationship just yet, but certainly some interest.

There was to follow several years of uphill struggle for both, as they sought to keep their relationship under wraps. Nearby Balmoral Castle was a haven in this time. An ordinary couple a generation ago, may simply have married pretty soon after... but this is the 2000's and they are no ordinary couple. Can you see for yourselves how this time of challenge in their lives matches 'Life Cycles' theory.

Alright, we have only one other year to investigate and that is their age 24, 'Year of Revolution'. This corresponds to June, 2006 to June, 2007 for William and Jan, 2006 to Jan, 2007 for Catherine. Remember, this is a time of upheaval and the ushering in of a 'new age/new direction'. It is doubly so when you are both in this storm together. Now, who can tell me the only other time in their shared history before the wedding, when there was an upheaval in their relationship? You've only to look it up on the computer, to see it was the time in which they broke up and after a relatively short period reconciled. Yes it's smack dab in the middle of William's 'Year of Revoltuion' and provides a surprise ending to Kate's 'Year of Revolution'.

Now I've researched this era in full, but I won't go into too much detail just now. It seems that William was being torn by a need to be 'one of the boys', particularly within his regiment and on the other hand, to settle down with just Kate. He was getting out and about to local drinking spots in Dorset (where he was stationed) and meeting some local girls. Kate meanwhile was in London and was being patient through all this, but it must have been trying. Also these girls courted publicity, unlike some aristocratic girls that caught William's eye, but knew how to 'fly under the radar'.

Kate however was still expecting big things after she was invited to attend William's passing out parade at Sandhurst in December, 2006, which was her first high-profile event, with the Queen also in attendance. This was not how it turned out and instead William announced that it was too soon for him to settle down and they split up in April, 2007. I know they must have felt the full force of the 'Year of Revolution' and William also had a life altering experience (by his own admission), when a female intelligence officer he trained with was killed in Iraq. He said it made him think about his life and the things that matter.

The next public record we have of a reconcilliation with Catherine was her attendance at Lulworth Army Barracks as a guest of Prince William in June, 2007. This then concludes William's tumultuous 'Year of Revolution'. Think about my analysis. I have only the most meagre time period in their lives to examine. The possibility that I can find credible evidence is very slight and I just deal in biographic data. I deal in well-known cases because I simply want to get you to look at your own lives a bit more.

I'm sure you will join with me in wishing William and Catherine (now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) all the very best for a long and happy life together. Next month I will feature something totally different and scandalous from Indonesia, where I have so many blogging associates. I know you Indonesians will love this one. Until then:- may the cycles always bring you good fortune.

Donald Trump Considering Running for President 2012 on Fox News 6th Octo...

Introducing the 'Life Chart'. Let's Start With Donald Trump.

As some may be aware this blog is unique. It is totally planned and no post is here by accident. Everything has a purpose. We are now entering a new cycle of twelve posts. So far I have told you about the 'Year of Revolution' that happens every twelfth year in your life (birth, 12, 24, 36. 48 etc.). Then I told you that seven years after every 'Year of Revolution', there is another challenging year when fateful events tend to happen, that require effort on our part to address. This is called the 'Year of Broken Pathways' (7,19,31,43 etc.). Now what happens if we start to collect all the data we can about a person's life in these two 'significant years'? Well, if we display the biographical summary in diagrammatic form, we get what's known as a 'Life Chart'.

I've put a sample of a 'Life Chart' at the top of the article, so you can see what I mean...or rather I would have but I'm having issues getting it accpeted for the blog design...still you can always read the original if you get the book! Once again there's no magic, no hocus-pocus. It's just a systematic gathering of evidence. Remember :- no evidence, no theory. Just imagine if other such theories did this. The critics would have a field day. Check out for yourselves what science and the sceptics make of these theories. No evidence they shout! For example to take one such popular idea:- the 'law' of attraction. Can your thoughts produce literally anything you want? Is there any proof? Not according to scientific enquiry. None whatsoever and they even mention an ugly flip-side ie. if you have an accident or fall ill it's your fault. This may not make me popular in some quarters, but I want to be known as different and credible, not self-serving and mesmerizing.

So forgive this rant, but I will take you through the 'Life Chart' bit by bit over the next twelve posts, so today rather than talk more theory I thought:- "let's take a current affairs topic to illustrate". I woke up a while back to news that Donald Trump has desires to run for US President and that one of his claims is that his background is accessible, unlike Barak Obama, whose early years seem a bit obscure. Anyway Donald Trump, love him or hate him, gets a lot of publicity so what can a 'Life Cycles' analysis say?

'The Donald' was born June 14th, 1946, so you know how I often do my research:- I go straight to the person's 36th mid-life 'Year of Revolution' (in his case June, 1982 to Jume, 1983) and see what was happeneing in his life and how pivotal it might be to the 'main game'. Donald began in his father's footsteps as a property developer, but he made his own name with casinos. It was a known fact that he had added properties outside Manhattan for the first time in 1980; in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He decided he wanted a new challenge and that a casino makes far more money than a hotel. His advisers told him not to do it and he had a lot of trouble getting investors, so he decided to look for partnerships.

In June, 1982 Trump made an unlikely partnership with Mike Rose, who ran the Harrah's Casino and Holiday Inn Hotels. He already ran a casino in Atlantic City and Trump had the land, so they decided to build the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino together. It opened in 1984, but because these two individuals were quite different things couldn't last, so in 1986 Trump bought him out. There is no doubt that without Mike Rose, Donald Trump would not have succeeded. After all Hilton and Hugh Hefner and Ceasar's World founders had troubles. So what made him a winner? He agreed to supply the land, if Harrah's paid him to build the casino, gave him an equal share in the profits and did not hold him liable for losses in the first five years. This is how he made his name as a negotiator. Work started on the casino in November, 1982. It met every criteria for what this central 'Year of Revolution' stands for.

Now let's just skip ahead to when he was aged 43 (June, 1989 to June, 1990). What happened then and how could it be considered to be a 'fork in his road', that presented him with a challenge set to last for several years and thus qualify as a 'Year of Broken Pathways'? Well there is no doubt that Trump had a period of unbroken forward momentum, when he built a second and then a third Casino in Atlantic City. The third opened in April, 1990 called the Trump Taj Mahal. It cost $1.1 billion to build and was called:- "The Eighth Wonder of the World". Immediately it started to lose money and it took business away from his other two casions. In addition to the huge loans he had on the casinos, his other businesses were not doing well either. The real estate market had fallen across the country and in January, 1990 he owed the banks $9 billion. He was scheduled to make a payment of $73 million in June and he was fighting to survive. Does all this sound like a challenge and a struggle set to last for several years? Does it sound like the veritable embodiment of the 'Year of Broken Pathways'? You can bet the house on it!

Can I do more of this? Dissect his life with unerring accuracy? Of course I can, but I've run over of my usual post length, so I'll leave it till later this year. Did someone mention a Royal Wedding at the end of the month? Want to know all about Prince William and Catherine Middleton? Then tune in next time. Remember you get this nowhere else. Till then:- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://lifecycles-by-neil-killion.blogspot.com/2011/03/introducing-life-chart-lets-start-with.html' title='Introducing the 'Life Chart'. Not only are the cases just as interesting, but you will learn what the posts signify, including this one. Just click on lifecyclesstory-neil-killion.blogspot.com.

Now to the first item of business. I have been presenting articles since April, 2010 to do with the second concept of 'Life Cycles' theory. That is the 'Year of Broken Pathways', which occurs seven years after the 'Year of Revolution'. The twelve year cycle is ushered in by the 'Year of Revolution' and the theme is set. Then seven years later, along comes another fateful year, where events transpire to change your direction and give you a challenge and uphill struggle for the remaining years of the cycle. The essence of this year is that it has long-term ramifications and can be either uncomfortable or exhilarating, but challenging. You often have to learn new skills in order to accommodate. We are all creatures of habit and left to our devices may sidestep life's awkward moments. I have shown you how in many cases, there was a reluctance to accept what was going on, until it had crept up and looked us in the face.

So think about this:- "What happened in your life when you were aged 7 and 19 and 31 and 43 and 55 (and more for some of you)? Were there are fateful turning points? This can include positive and negative events. That break into the 'big league' of whatever your arena is, may have happened in one of those years. A new relationship or the end of another one may have been forged. The actions of others may have strongly impacted on your life. You might have perceived 'a day of reckoning' like Napoleon or you might have decided to take on City Hall like John Lennon, but were unaware just what it would involve. I want to make you think about your life. Really think. The reason you are where you are today is because you took a certain path, that was partly to do with your own choices and partly to do with what fate has handed you.

This leads me into the second item on the agenda. There has been been much critical praise for the movie "The King's Speech" and deservedly so, for it is a well-acted, stirring drama of real historical figures, set on a grand stage. It has been a world-wide success and will be seen by many. It tells (in not strictly accurate terms) the story of how King George VI had to battle to overcome his lifelong stutter, with the aid of the unconventional speech therapist, Lionel Logue. The movie shows him watching footage of Hitler's rabble-rousing style and acknowledges he is good at it.Then he is thrust into the start of WWII and has to face his biggest moment when he addresses, not just the British people, but the greater British Empire (encompassing around a quarter of the world's population). There is obvious need for a wartime figurehead to stir people to rise against the tyranny of the Nazis. This is shown magnificently in the last scene of the movie.

What has this got to do with 'Life Cycles' and the 'Year of Broken Pathways' in particular? George VI was born 14th Dec. 1895 and he delivered his wartime speech on Sept. 3rd 1939, which makes him right within his 43rd 'Year of Broken Pathways' when this challenge was handed to him. The sometimes painful-to-watch interactions between the King and his speech therapist are taken from Logue's own diary notes, so we can presume, that what happened just before the actual speech was probably how it was. How I'm sure he would have preferred not to have to do this. How uncomfortable he must have felt. How he now knew that he had to inspire people and forget about himself. Who'd have guessed this speech now inspires a whole new generation, who never knew him.

Was this one moment in time the end of the challenge? It may have ended the movie, but we know life goes on after the credits stop rolling. No, he had to deliver quite a few important wartime speeches after this. With Logue at his side, this went on for some years. It undoubtedly built his personal legacy and together with the Queen, helped endear the monarchy to its citizens throughout WWII. Once again we have an excellent example of what the 'Year of Broken Pathways' is all about. I will have much more to say about his life and the lives of others on both sides of the camera. When I am finished you will be astounded at what 'Life Cycles' analysis will produce. Don't forget to come back next month when the third concept will be unveiled. Until then:- "May the cycles always bring you good fortune".

The Greatest 'Year of Broken Pathways'

Now I want to speak to you directly. Get up out of your comfy chair and put down that cup of coffee. Go to the wardrobe and put on an overcoat. Stand in front of the mirror and put your hand inside and press it to your heart. Look solemn......as though something very bad is about to happen, but you're not sure what it is. Now you are once again Napoleon! It's been seven long years since you have conquered Europe, following the Battle of Austerlitz. Yet you're still Emperor of the mightiest nation in the world at the time. What happens after seven years from the greatest 'Year of Revolution'? Naturally it's going to be the mother of all 'Years of Broken Pathway'.

Start up the 1812 Overture if you haven't already and read along as we go. It's sort of comforting to read of other's misfortunes and those on the grand scale will seem paricularly remote from your day to day life. This, however, is the paradox of 'Life Cycles'. Your own challenges and crises will be in proportion to your own life. Read 'Life Cycles' (now available on Kindle and many other sites....just google up "neil killion"/life cycles and you'll soon see) and read in Chapter Nine exactly how it worked in my own life.

Back to Napoleon. He had just turned 43 on August 15th. 1812. He was in his own 'Year of Broken Pathways'. He was determined to invade Russia. The Tsar, once his ally, was now on the global 'hit list'. On September 7th, the bloodiest battle so far in the campaign, took place near the village of Borodino. Although Napoleon had lost around a third of his Grand Armee (70,000 troops) Russian losses were heavier and he was the victor. The Russian Army was out of position and ripe for destruction. The road to Moscow was wide open and General Kutuzov had ordered the evacuation of the city.

On September 14th, Napoleon moved into the empty city that had been stripped of all its supplies. He expected Tsar Alexander I, or his representative, to surrender but instead the Tsar did no such thing. Then the troops began to loot what little remained and that evening fires broke out, then subsided and broke out again a few days later. Moscow comprised two-thirds wooden buildings and burnt down completely. due neither to deliberate actions of the Russians or the French. Sitting in the ashes of a ruined city began a long retreat, first out of Moscow and then out of Russia itself, starting in mid-October.

Food supplies by the roadside had all but gone and with winter setting in, Kutuzov's reinforced army attacked them at every opportunity. Starvation and disease took an enormous toll and large scale desertion followed. Finally they were driven from Russia on Dec. 14th and only a small fraction of the original Grand Armee survived.

It was to mark the most significant turning point in Napoleon's career. It caused a major shift in European politics as it dramatically weakened the once dominant French position. This time it was not just individual troops deserting, but whole countries like Prussia and Austria switched sides and triggered the War of the Sixth Coalition. The challenge facing Napoleon was enormous and in only a few short years the Empire would be lost. Yet would it have seemed this way to him on September 8th, the day after the Battle of Borodino, when he had the Russian army on its knees? Almost certainly not. What about when he expected to be received as a conqueror in Moscow? Definitely not then. Even when Moscow burnt to the ground, he probably thought things would work out, as they always had before. Even with the retreat he was still claiming victory in each battle with the Russians (who were themselves claiming victory). No, it probably crept up on him in an insidious way. There was no doubt about it, by the end of the year he had lost both the Russian campaign and most of his army.

There may be other tragic tales from history, but the sheer scale of lives lost and dreams shattered and Empires crumbling, would make it hard to top. Now get comfortable again. I have told his story and that is not yours. Why did I tell it now. You must read my unregistered second blog lifecyclesstory-neil-killion.blogspot.com to understand the symbolic purpose of every post. There is no other blog like this anywhere. No other brand new theory of life, in spite of the many adaptations of pre-existing ideas. That is; more than one 'Year of Revolution' (eg. what happened at 24 and then maybe 36 or 48) and more than one 'Year of Broken Pathway' (eg. what happened at 19 and 31 or maybe 43). Why would I do this? Well the answer is simple:- If your life is lived in 12 year cycles that are the same, then maybe there is some similarity between the events in your life 12 years apart. I am always careful to add the qualification, that it will be broadly speaking a similar theme that is being repeated and not, of course, the same actions or people involved.

Now we are dealing with a series of articles on the 'Year of Broken Pathways', which means I have been looking at the ages of usually 31 and 43, as they are prominent in so many people's lives. It is at these ages that fateful turning points occur to provide a challenge and new direction, that will take the rest of the 12 year cycle to deal with. I have been giving you many well-known illustrations. However once and once only in my extensive research did I come across the 'one in a billion' case, where the events happening at age 31 between two very different people were repeated exactly the same twelve years later at the age of 43. Not just a similar broad theme, but the same exact scenario! I found it by accident from an Obituary, but I submit it to you in the 'Weird or What?' category.

Rosa Parks has been called by the US Congress the "Mother of the Modern-Day Civil Rights Movement". She is famous for challenging segregated bus seating just before Christmas in 1955 in Alabama. She refused to give up her seat for a white passenger, in what was known as a kind of "buffer zone", designed to keep the races apart. She knew the bus driver, James Blake. Exactly twelve years before this, in 1943, she had her first run-in on a public bus on a rainy day. The same driver, James Blake, demanded she get off the bus and re-enter through the back door. As she began to exit, she dropped her purse and sat momentarily in a seat for white passnegers, while she picked it up. This enraged the driver, who sped off as soon as she got out, leaving her to walk more than five miles home in the rain. Just before Christmas in that year she joins the local chapter of the NAACP and became active in the Civil rights movement.

Fast forward to 1955 now and this time Blake did not confront Rosa Parks immediately, but asked some of the male blacks in the back if they would give up a seat for her. When that failed however he had her arrested, finger-printed and jailed; as the drivers were empowered by law not only to tell blacks to move, but also to arrest them. This led to the decision to rally behind her, as her dignified style appealed to middle and working class alike. The then little-known Martin Luther King led a boycott of buses by blacks. This became the inspiration for a similar boycott in South Africa and one of the key events in the radicalisation of the ANC.

Why do I feature this without telling you Rosa Parks age? Well you see that is only half the story in her life each time. She was aged 30 and 42 and was one year short of her 'Year of Broken Pathways' when ordinary moments in her life become significant. She didn't like her treatment but you might have thought she'd end up a huge winner particularly in 1956 when the US Supreme Court outlawed racial segregation on buses, deeming it unconstitutional. Rosa Parks however suffered hardships. She lost her job at the department store and her husband quit his job, after his boss forbade him from talking about his wife or the legal case. They left Montgomery and moved to Detroit. Her own personal life was completely altered. Did something similar happen in 1944 when she was 31? Yes once again she left Montgomery and worked briefly at Maxwell Air Force base, a federally owned area where there was no racial segregation and she told her biographer that:-"You might say this opened my eyes up". These moments, you see, were her own personal 'Broken Pathway'.

What of James Blake? Why did I bother to mention him at all? Well, after checking Rosa's altered circumstances in her next year each time, I also checked James Blake's age. He was born April, 14th. 1912 making him 31 and then 43 when both incidents accured. Yes he was in his own personal 'Year of Broken Pathways'. On both occasions he would say he simply followed city regulations to the letter. But in 1943 I don't think speeding off in the rain, when the passeneger had gone to re-board the bus, was morally correct regardless of how society was at the time. I'm sure it led on to Rosa Parks joining the Civil rights movement in Dec. 1943. Then in Dec. 1955 he said:- "I wasn't trying to do anything to that Park's woman except my job. That damn bus was full and she wouldn't move back. I had my orders". He comtinued to work another 19 years for the bus company. However he was swept up in one of the most influential turning points in US history. I can only begin to imagine the effect this had on him in 1956.

This shows the power and undoubted evidence of 'Life Cycles' in their lives. What about in yours? Remember you don't have to make history. All lives are interesting. But who had the greatest 'Year of Broken Pathways' of all? Stick around because I'll tell you next month and until then:- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Interrupted Conversations-Broken Pathways of Frank Sinatra, Barak Obama, Mary Queen of Scots and Jerry Seinfeld

Some of you may remember that when I "interviewed" these famous people a little earlier this year, I told each of them that our conversation would be continued. Well here I am in the interviewer's chair again and I've gathered them all together. In an experimental post I'm going to talk to all of them......a bit like a Michael Parkinson chat show. We'll be looking at just one or two 'Years of Broken Pathway' for each. The intent is to show how disparate these lives are, yet how unified they are by 'Life Cycles' theory. Now I want you to read this and say, that honestly all of us sometimes do things we regret later. These moments can be awkward to recall, but there is no doubt they do shape our lives. Trust me on this one; the famous are no different to you and I. So let's make things a little awkward for them, but as always we'll just use the facts,

Glad you could all be here. Now I'm going to interview you one at a time and I'll introduce my first guest for the evening:- Ol' Blue Eyes himself.....Mr. Frank Sinatra!
Thanks for dropping by Frank.
Didn't I tell security to throw you out last time.
Look I've even brought you a live audience this time. I'm sure they want to hear about your life.
Well OK then, but just stick to the facts. I've still got friends on the other side you know.
Yes we'll be looking at fateful turning points in your life that happened in your 'Year of Broken Pathways'. That's every 12 years starting at age 7. So that means 19 and 31 and 43 etc. I'll just pick out age 31 in your case. That would be Dec. 15th, 1946 to Dec. 15th, 1947.
Wait a minute I seem to remember something back then.
Yes a certain fateful attendance at a Mafia congress in Havana. You remember, you came with Al Capone's cousins, who had $2m in a suitcase for Lucky Luciano.
I hope you're not insinuating...
No, I'll just say this to you though. Since that time you began to see yourself as untouchable and could pick on whoever you wanted to. As you got more aggressive, your popularity waned and they called you 'Cranky Franky'. Just for good measure we see this trend of your career being linked to Mafia fortunes again at 43. This was when Castro took over Cuba and the Mafia came to Las Vegas. You remember, it led on to part-owning The Sands and the 'Rat Pack' era.Co-incidence that's all it was.....mere co-incidence. But I hate to admit it, these things did change my life..
Well yes, all our lives are changed in these important years. Thank you very much for that Frank. Now I'm going to talk with the current President, Barak Obama. Thank you for this opportunity Mr. President.
To be honest I'm not sure why I'm here, but my advisers said I need to build bridges after the mid-term results.
Now we're here to have a look at fateful events when you were aged 31. That is Aug. 4th, 1992 to Aug. 4th, 1993.
Let me see. Oh yes, among other things that's when I got married to my wonderful wife Michelle.
Yes you did, but don't you also remember that's when something else happened, that came back to haunt you? You initiated 'Project Vote' to get around 150,000 extra voters registered on the south side of Chicago. It helped turn the tide in the Bush/Clinton election, with the first ever African-American senator elected in Chicago and got you noticed. You said at the time you worked alongside the Socialist Group ACORN. Then you denied any links, particularly during the election campaign when John McCain accused you. The most we can say is that you were doing the same type of business at the same time. 'Project Vote', both good and ill did represent a Broken Pathway moment for you.
Yes 31 was a very important turning point in my life, no question. With that ACORN business, let's just say that if I had my time over again, I may have said some things differently. My intentions however were always honourable.
Yes I'm sure they were. But that is, in it's own way, what each and every one of us says at some point in our lives. Particularly however during the 'Year of Broken Pathways'. Thank very much Mr. President. Now my next guest had the worst of all fateful 'Years of Broken Pathway'. Please give a warm welcome to Mary, Queen of Scots.
What be ye doing here again disturbing the dead?
Well I'll be brief. You had plotted unsuccessfully for 18 years to get rid of Elizabeth and that Sir Francis Walsingham was onto you. He even had a double agent ratting you out. God knows why, but Elizabeth was reluctant to try you for treason. Anyway they had just passed a law saying you only had to have full knowledge and support for the conspirators. You were 43 when Babington unveiled his plot to you, remember?
Aye, and a good plot it was too. An English Catholic uprising.....kill Elizabeth and then I'm Queen of England! By my troth I should have been all along.
But you were careless weren't you? You said in writing that you support every bit of the plot. Didn't think they'd see it did you? Written in code; but they deciphered the code. That was where your Pathway got broken and you unfortunately lost your head soon after. Now for my final guest, the well-known comedian Jerry Seinfeld. Welcome Jerry, to my little show.
Yeah right, I just saw what you did to those other guests of yours. What have you got up your sleeve?
I thought you might guess. I'm going to ask about when you were 43. That is April, 29th, 1997 to April 29th, 1998.
You're not, are you, going to talk the final episode. It aired on May 14th. Got you there!
Yes, but the dye was cast quite a bit earlier. Don't you remember the rest of the main cast wanted $1m per episode. Didn't please you or the studio. Things got a bit techy all round. Then Larry goes and writes this ending with you as bad guys. Most of the 79 million viewers in the US didn't like it. You see this 'Year of Broken Pathways' often says some uncomfortable things, but if we search our hearts, we have to say they're true.
Hey, Larry King should have had you on his research team. But heck you know, you're right. Anyway who cares with such a little shindig like this.......Sorry about that. I get a little hot tempered sometimes. I guess I'm just the guest tonight.
Thanks Jerry, We're all in the same boat you know!

Is my theory just quaint? Just has relevance for these famous types, but certainly not you? Then I urge you to think again. I did half this research as I wrote it. It's that easy to find the evidence. Make sure you come back next month, because I'll feature the most incredible 'Broken Pathway' case history. Till then:- May the cycles always bring you good fortune.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words- Nelson Mandela and The Year Of Broken Pathways

In this month's post I'm featuring a true personality of the world stage:-Nelson Mandela. He's almost univesally known to people. He also happens to be a teaching example I have used in 'Life Cycles' and I am proud to be able to display almost every 'Year of Revolution' and every 'Year of Broken Pathways' for his long life. By linking his themes for these years I am able to demonstrate the most statistically valid result for a whole life, that would be impossible to have happened by chance. It took Nelson 27 years in prison and many more for his struggle for freedom to be achieved. It would be fitting if one day in the future 'Life Cycles' was also recognised on the world stage as not just another system of analysing life, but the one true system that is recognised by independent researchers, academics, sceptics and most of all by you.

Today we'll just be concentrating on his 43rd. 'Year of Broken Pathways' (18th, July 1961 to 18th, July 1962) and looking at what fateful events happened in this twelve month period, that would shape his life for quite a few years to come. Remember every post since April has been about the 'Year of Broken Pathways'. The name came from the simple fact that I observed in so many different lives, a challenging and defining year that occurs every 12 years. So at 7 and 19 and 31 and 43 and 55 and 67 and 79 it happens. I can demonstrate this with Nelson and I do just that in the 'Famous Lives' chapter in the book.

December 16th is known throughout South Afica as Heroes Day. This is because on this day in 1961 Umkhonto we Sizwe was formed by Nelson Mandela. This is otherwise known as 'The Spear of The Nation'. It's charter was to carry out planned attacks against Government installations particularly those concerned with the policy of apartheid and race discrimination (like pass offices, native magistrate courts etc.) . The intent was to damage by bombing without harming any people. To do this attacks were carried out usually at night. Many years of peaceful resistance and dialogue with white authorities had not gotten the ANC anywhere in terms of genuine reforms. The time seemed to come for a simple choice:- either submit or fight. As Nelson said:- "We shall not submit and we have no choice but to hit back by all means within our power in defence of our people, our future and our freedom."

This was obviously a fateful moment in his life, because it was going to bring him into conflict with white authorities. It was going to give the police and other law enforcement agencies an opportunity to pursue him for a criminal conviction of sabotage. So what happened after these attacks against installations were instigated? Well he went on the run for 17 months adopting a disguise. He was arrested after CIA intelligence located his whereabouts. On 25th. October, 1962 he was sentenced to five years goal beginning his famous 27 years behind bars. Two years later he was to stand trial at Rivonia along with other ANC leaders, facing charges of plotting a foreign invasion of South Africa (which Mandela denied). On June 12th, 1964 he was sentenced to life imprisonment and now the struggle for equality was to take a different form.

There is no doubt that these events taking place in the years that immediately followed his personal 43rd. 'Year of Broken Pathways' were challenging and meet all the criteria specified in 'Life Cycles' theory. Have a look at what happened to John Lennon in his battle with the US authorities and Robert The Bruce, who was on the run from the English and Anthony Prince, who had to learn to live in maximum security gaol and Diego Maradona, who had to fight his battles with drugs and booze and Michaelangelo, who had to paint the whole Sistine Chapel ceiling. There is an obvious similarity to these stories and the uphill struggle that follows the fateful events in their 'Year of Broken Pathways'.

I urge you to keep reading as my posts to come will fascinate you even more. I have also begun a second blog:- "The Story Behind Life Cycles' (lifecyclesstory-neil-killion.blogspot.com ) as I wish to show you that everything I do has a purpose and there is a symbolic meaning to all my posts. I also will mention some stories that didn't make the main blog but are gems in their own right. To all my blogging friends everywhere:- "May the cycles always bring you good fortune".

But I'm a Sculptor-Michaelangelo and The Year of Broken Pathways

Ah, Renaissance Italy! What a time to have lived:- Leonardo Da Vinci, Michaelangelo, the Medici's, Raphael, Florence, St. Peter's built. It was the age of grand projects and innovation, never before seen. Today we are going to examine one of those famous projects; the painting of the Sistine Chapel in St. Peter's. This will be from the perspective of Life Cycles 'Year of Broken Pathways'. This is also totally new and has never been done before, even though we have moved on some 500 years.

Michaelangelo was born March 6th, 1475 and it was in his age 24 first adult 'Year of Revolution' (March,1499 to March,1500), that he gained renown as a sculptor, when he completed the 'Pieta'; a depiction of the body of Jesus on the lap of his mother Mary after the crucifixion. One of his contemporary's said of the work:- "It is a miracle that a formless block of stone could ever be reduced to a perfection that nature is scarcely able to create in the flesh". His reputation from this led onto being selected to complete the statue of David in Florence.

Where to next at his turning point in his age 31 'Year of Broken Pathways'? Remember the essence of this year is that the path we have been travelling on since age 24 gets broken and we are handed a challenge or new direction, that will essentially take the rest of the 12 year Life Cycle to complete. This is a new concept and I illustrate by taking the lives of the famous or those mentioned in news stories. So 'Life Cycles' is based on biographical analysis, making it much more factual than any other esoteric theory. Though it isn't quite science, it's a lot closer to it than anything else. It's not a belief system:- there is no "trust me I'm a guru" element in this.

OK, so we're looking at events when Michaelangelo was 31 (March,1506 to March,1507). The first evidence we have of Pope Julius requesting Michaelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel ceiling was from a letter dated May 10th, 1506. Meanwhile Julius's chief architect Bramante discouraged this idea, saying Michaelangelo was not a painter but a sculptor and this would be technically difficult for him and he doubted his courage to do this giant work. Michaelangelo himself had doubts because he didn't concentrate on painting and regarded sculpting as the higher art form (famously arguing with Leonardo Da Vinci who replied:- "At least I don't spend my whole day covered in dirt and dust!").

When Michaelangelo returns to Rome in early 1506 out of funds for Julius's Tomb, he gets dismissed by the Pope and returns to Florence. Such is their fiery relationship, that Julius threatens to wage war on the whole of Florence unless Michaelangelo returns to Rome, which he does. Once Michaelangelo hears that Bramante doen't think he's up to the Sistine ceiling, he immediately drops other things and says he'd do it. These two then began a very famous and bitter feud that ran for years. You see it's all about ego for these very opinionated individual's.

There is no doubt that all this happened when he was 31. There is no doubt that it altered his direction in a very important way. There is no doubt that the sequence of events had a fateful character, seeming as if it were pointing Michaelangelo towards the Sistine Chapel ceiling. There is also no doubt that this was a huge challenge and led on to the rest of the years of this cycle (until his age 36 'Year of Revolution'-March,1511 to March,1512). It meets every criteria of 'Life Cycles'.

Michaelangelo began work on the Sistine ceiling in 1508 and hired five assistants. The work was done in fresco, which is an incredibly difficult and daunting process, involvong 336 assorted figures. Only the most confident and talented painter could do this, which was one of the greatest artistic feats of the Renaissance or indeed any period of time. He certainly proved Bramante wrong in a big way. He also had a very impatient Pope Julius, continually trying to hurry him up and demanding to see what he'd done. It would be an understatement to say that he had an uphill struggle to face.

How did this fascinating story end and why does it represent a triumph for 'Life Cycles' analysis? How is the Sistine Chapel ceiling related to the Pieta? What was so similar about events in 1499 and in 1511? Well the answer is that I'll tell you the full story in my next book:- "The Life Cycles Revolution" currently being written. You see 'Life Cycles' analysis is unnervingly accurate, sometimes down to the month as well as the year. Is your whole life written in code? Or does this only happen to the famous? You didn't paint the Sistine Chapel? No, but challenges and uphill struggles are the stuff of life. Anyone's life. Yours and mine. You see the Revolution of 1917 had only just happened by a few short years, but Lenin's health had undoubtedly been affected by an assassination attempt in August, 1918 (when he was in his own 48th personal 'Year of Revolution'). He was hit by three bullets and left unconscious. This was later to become manifest in 1922/3, when he suffered a series of three strokes between May 1922 and March 1923.

There is no question that the leader of the Bolsheviks and head of the Soviet State, began to think about who would succeed him. Why should I analyse this? What has this to do with Life Cycles theory and in paricular the 'Year of Broken Pathways'? Well I'm not featuring Vladimir Lenin in this post, I'm featuring his second-in-command, Leon Trotsky. You see Trotsky was entering his 43rd 'Year of Broken Pathways' (in his case:- 7th November, 1922 to 7th November, 1923) at the time the future leadership was reaching a crossroads. Remember that we are looking for major direction change, that would take several years to fully resolve (at least until Trotsky's age 48 'Year of Revolution' in November, 1927). This is what the 'Year of Broken Pathways' means to us all. But what in particular did it mean to Trotsky?

There was no question that Trotsky should have been the natural successor, but he had a strong opponent in the ruthless and cunning Joseph Stalin. Stalin, who had been elevated to the position of Party General Secretary in early 1922, had distanced himself from Trotsky, by forming a troika (a triumvirate with Zinoviev and Kamemev) to keep Trotsky from power. They chose to exploit Trotsky's policy of seeking world communist rule, by appealing to an already revolution-weary populace, that they should just focus on running the Soviet State.

Trotsky wrote an autobiography and I will use this as my guide. Lenin was shocked when he learned of a plot to throw Trotsky out. He then spent much of his time devising a counter-plot to ensure Trotsky succeeded him. In December, 1922 he wrote a will suggesting Stalin be removed as Secretary General. He offered Trotsky an alliance against him. However his final stroke in March, 1923 left Lenin speechless till his death in 1924. Only weeks before Trotsky confirms a conversation with Lenin saying:- "Yes, he does not trust Stalin and wants to come out against him openly, before the entire Party. He is preparing a bomb".

From the moment of the final stroke it was a huge change for Trotsky. The would-be successor and the co-conspirator becomes the hunted. With Lenin sidelined, the Stalin faction moved to take control of the politcal process and cut Trotsky off from decision making. His faction became known as the Left Opposition. After Lenin's death worse was to come. Even though Lenin's Testament came to the surface at the Party's Congress it was defused by the troika and they criticised Trotsky's military leadership in the 1917 Revolution. He became sick and was unable to answer them and in late 1924, they forced him to resign as Red Army Chief.

In 1925 he became effectively unemployed. The troika broke up, with the other two former members gravitating to Trotsky and forming a United Opposition. In 1926 Stalin became increasingly extreme. He started using the Soviet secret police to infiltrate and discredit his opponents. Finally in November, 1927 Trotsky and Zinoviev were expelled from the Communist Party. This brings to an end the several years of uphill struggle that follows the 'Year of Broken Pathways'. It was so for John Lennon (sounds a bit like..) and for Robert the Bruce and Anthony Prince and Diego Maradonna. It will be so for you too.

Don't imagine my quaint theory won't touch your life; it has already. As I begin to write my follow-up book:- "The Life Cycles Revolution" I am getting ready to provide such a weight of evidence that it will be impossible not to accept it. More is to come in the most unique blog ever written. Don't miss it and make sure you read all the posts, they are all linked. Until then:- "May the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Diego Maradona's Goal of the Century.

Flawed Genius-Diego Maradona and The Year Of Broken Pathways

Look at any ranking of "Best Soccer Player of All Time" and Diego Maradona is number 1 or very close to it. Physically short and stocky, he nonetheless grew into a giant on the field. At his height he took Argentina to the very zenith of the soccer world, virtually singlehandedly. He has also scored, in the infamous 'handball goal' match against England, what is recognised as the best goal ever scored. He passed through the entire English side and the ball never touched his right foot.

But that is on the field. Off the field he strikes a tragic figure and today we'll turn to his 43rd. 'Year of Broken Pathways' to see just how tragic. Remember all the years of 'Broken Pathway':- 19,31, and now 43 are featured in this blog. In every case we look at life altering moments, somewhat outside of the individual's control, that took several years to resolve (in Diego's case until his next 'Year of Revolution' at 48). I did this analysis blind at the request of a fellow blogger, so remember just how powerful 'Life Cycles' is as a predictive tool. I don't really know much about soccer either.

Throughout his career he has been known for his drug abuse (particularly cocaine) and his romantic indiscretions, which he owned up to in his autobiography. Since retiring in 1997 he had gained a lot of weight, spent time in a Cuban rehab centre and continued with a reckless lifestyle. When he was 43 he came to his lowest point. On 18th April, 2004 he suffered a major heart attack, following a cocaine overdose and was admitted to intensive care in a Buenos Aries hospital. During the 12 days he was there he said:- "I saw death up close". His ex-wife said, that committing him for psychiatric care in a local hospital against his wishes in May, was the only way to save his life. Interestingly it was in the same year that he and Claudia Villafane divorced. Apparently he did not take this well either with Claudia saying:- " He doesn't want to acknowledge it, he still keeps wearing the wedding ring". She also said he couldn't cope with fame:- "He always said he had been taken to the top of the mountain, but once there nobody told him what to do".

So he certainly had an uphill battle from there. You can't get much lower. His own family took an injunction against him leaving the country. He even met the Argentine President to discuss it. What happened over the next couple of years? Well he went on to become good friends with his ex-wife and they travelled together to Napoli in 2005 for a series of homages. He also went on Argentine TV in 2007 to say that he had not touched drugs for 2 1/2 years. With alcohol it took longer however. In March, 2007 he was admitted to a hospital in Buenos Aries and treated for hepatitis, brought on by alcohol abuse. After this he vowed publicly to quit drinking.

Has this story of tough love and even tougher redemption got a good ending? Yes, I'm pleased to say it has and just before his 48th birthday, he learned of his upcoming confirmation as coach of Argentina. Yes this was to happen in his 48th 'Year of Revolution', just as retirement had marked his 36th 'Year of Revolution'. His most devoted fans call themselves "the Church of Maradona" (now 120,000 members). They rang in the year DD 48 (or After Diego) carrying a "goalary":- an over-sized rosary with 34 beads, which is the number of goals he scored for Argentina.

'Life Cycles' is the only theory where you get this analysis. Nowhere else! You don't see 'the hand of God' at work in that controversial goal, but you may choose to see it in the extraordinary predictive power of 'Life Cycles'. So, till we meet again:- "May the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Dumb And Dumber-Anthony Prince and the Year of Broken Pathways

It's a good thing we Australians have a droll sense of humour. Otherwise why would I choose to feature the first post about one of my fellow countrymen, who achieved international notoriety by carrying out (along with one accomplice) what was termed:-"possibly the most inept bank robbery of all time". The stunt earned Anthony Prince and Luke Carroll the names 'Dumb and Dumber'. They were both holidaying in the glamorous ski resort town of Vail, Colarado and came from solid loving middle class families.

The reason I feature the life of Anthony Prince is that he (along with Luke Carroll) were both 19 at the time of the robbery and were thus in their first adult year of 'Broken Pathways'. Anthony chose to speak out about his life in a national TV Show called 'Australian Story' and he left an excellent psychological profile of just what it means to feel somewhat 'out of control' and suddenly have your direction altered and have to slowly accommodate to the changes over the remaining years of the cycle till his next 'Year of Revolution' at age 24.

He couldn't tell it any better than if I had access to an in-depth interview and asked just what I wanted. This material is similar to the 'Wolf of Wall Street' biography because it is detailed, exact and describes 'Life Cycles' as if they knew about it. Remember I do all my work second hand.

Their own defence lawyer described this crime as "absurd". Carroll and Prince robbed the Weststar bank in Vail, a place where they were regular customers and well known to the tellers. Their Australian accents made easy picking even though they wore ski masks. They also wore name tags from the sports store they worked at. Their getaway was to board a chair lift about a quarter mile away and snow-board down the opposite side of the mountain and go home. They took photos with the cash in a McDonald's toilet and tried to buy one-way tickets to Mexico the next day. Told they couldn't, they opted for a round trip. The FBI already had mugshots, because they were arrested in January that year, for shooting out windows with a paintball gun. A police officer recognised them from the FBI flyer and their accents and arrested them as they tried to pass through airport security. More could be said about what they did with the money, including trying to flush $800 down the holding cell toilet, but I think by now you've got the picture.

Hollywood could not do better if they tried. What were they thinking? This was the brain snap to end all brain snaps. Now Anthony Prince was interviewed about all this. Just how did it happen? He tells how he was overawed by Vail:- "everywhere you look, flashy cars, money, houses....this was the Mecca". "We were two Aussie larrikins out for a good time....up early, in bed late, trying to get into clubs with fake ID's etc," They were amazed they could buy paintball guns in Walmart, so that's what they did.

Shooting out window panes with the guns got them arrested, but unfortunately it didn't slow them down. "We felt like we could get away with anything....and we were like how crazy would it be to take these BB guns into that bank and rob it? It was a small bank, two female employees, no security whatsoever. You'd be stupid not to try it".

"So it began as a joke and then just slowly, subconsciously moved into something which was real and we'd talked ourselves into it". This is exactly the sense of not being fully in control of events that marks the 'Year of Broken Pathways'. Not as dramatically for most of us as these two poor kids, but it does in so many different ways for everyone one of us. It did for John Lennon when he thought nothing of donating money to the Black Panther movement, and Robert the Bruce when he thought nothing of telling the Red Comyn he wasn't going to be the first King of Scotland in private. Events seem unreal at the moment they occur.

Now what was the outcome of Anthony Prince's life over the remaining years of that cycle? What uphill struggle did he continue to face? Well the first thing was getting used to the inside of a US maximum security prison. "I've been slashed with blades. I've been beat down, hit with padlocks.....it was a scary environment".

He cried openly at his trial and begged forgiveness of the teller he had pointed a gun at. He only got 4 1/2 years, not the possible 25. He thought that he had to make it up to the his long-suffering parents, so he got correspondence material through his mother to study at an Australian university.

He spent a lot of time with immigration detainees whose English was bad so he sat down and helped them write letters to their loved ones. "I had a bit of a knack for it so I became known as this.....the love letter writer in there". Then in the final year of the cycle, just before his 24th birthday, he was released and came home to Byron Bay, an idyllic holiday spot on the NSW coast. "Coming home was amazing. I wish everyone could feel what I felt. The first plate of bacon and eggs...."

Yes it took him all of the remaining years of the cycle to finish this modern morality tale, complete with forgiveness from Jessica Cole Gunther the bank teller. It wasn't until the end that she looked him up on Facebook and showed him her letter written years ago. "It really did blow me away" he said.

Keep with me because I'm asking you to tell me who I'll be featuring next. He has been billed as 'the world's greatest footballer'...and that is of the round ball game I don't know much about. OK you couldn't get Robert the Bruce and you've never heard of Anthony Prince, but this guy you know! So leave me a comment and tell me. Oh, and for the big prize I want to know which year I'm featuring and why? Till then, may the cycles always bring you good fortune.

Robert the Bruce's Year of Broken Pathways

Yes we're going to murky, murderous olde Scotland as I adapt this darkest of morality tales from the BBC series 'History of Scotland'. But of course I'm doing this in order to show again how the 'Year of Broken Pathways' works. Same as for Lennon, it will be the Bruce's 31st year from July 11th, 1305 to July 11th, 1306 we will be looking at. We are looking for fateful moments, that would have long term consequences and would take several years to resolve, at least until the next 'Revolution Year' (at age 36 - 1310/1311).

After the resignation of William Wallace in 1299, both Robert the Bruce and John Comyn (the Red Comyn) were made guardians of Scotland. It would be fair to say they really didn't like each other. A fight broke out in the same year at a council in Peebles and Comyn grabbed Bruce by the throat and almost killed him. It would be seven years till they met again.

In 1305 Bishop Lamberton had gone to the Pope to get a ruling that Scotland was independent and should have a King. At a meeting between the Bishop and Robert the Bruce, it was agreed he should take the crown, but the price for his silence was put at 10,000 pounds (a fantastic sum in those days). But the Bruce was not a prudent man. He organised a fateful meeting with the Red Comyn at Greyfriars Kirk in Dumfries, on Feb 10th, 1306. This was to discuss the future of the crown. Both had left their swords outside and met before the high altar. Robert would have told Comyn (in spite of his agreement to keep silent) that he is to be made King and this would not be taken well. Scholars will dispute what happened next. Did the Bruce always plan to murder him or did Comyn draw his dagger first? But for whatever reason a fight broke out and he stabbed Comyn, who was practically dead as a result. After the Bruce had left he received news Comyn was not dead. He sent an aide back to finish him off.

His hot temper had really got him into trouble big time. He had committed murder in a church and faced ex-communication. He fled to Glasgow Cathedral, where his co-conspiritor Bishop Wishart absolved him of blood guilt, because he had no choice. They were all in this up to their necks. He then figured his best bet was to have himself crowned King and he fled to Scone and did this on March 25th, 1306. Could there have been anything more fateful than this sorry tale of hot temper and ambition gone wrong? His sworn enemy Edward 1st of England hunted him down and with little Scottish support, he was forced to retreat to Dunaverty, on the very tip of the Mull of Kintyre. Then he put to sea and disappeared. His wife and child were captured and taken to a convent. It would be eight years before he saw them again.

What happened next became the subject of myth, with Sir Walter Scott basing his character on the hero of the novel Ivanhoe and writing a poem about him being in a cave with a spider, called 'Lord of The Isles'. But what happened after this was that in Feb 1307, he went to South West Scotland with a few hundred Irish/Hebridians, to learn how to fight the English. He didn't want Wallace's early death. In April he surprised 1500 English troops and forced them to flee and in May using trenches and better tactics, he beat 3000 English troops at Louden Hill. Edward 1st then died and the Bruce had no major opposition in Scotland for the next three years.

Do you imagine that he went about a peaceful existence or negotiated with rival families? No, this hot-headed man had unfinished buisness with the Comyn's and the Bailiol's. He simply couldn't rest until he had got rid of every last vestige of opposition. He went on a terrible rampage through Scotland, laying waste to one castle after another, along with the people and then he burnt their fields. In short he was a bloodthirsty tyrant. Then he got ill with a nameless mysterious complaint, which no medicine or doctor could cure, so he went to the highlands. Just when others thought him dead, he recovered and continued the slaughter. Can you see how this period of years of struggle in its own very different way, parallels Lennon's dragged out fight against deportation, including the 18th month 'lost weekend'.

It would not be until 1309, that he had crushed resistence everywhere and then the Pope lifted his ban of ex-communication and King Robert called his first parliament. He was not yet a hero to his people however and it would take more years, until his victory at Bannockburn, for this to happen. Is it any wonder that in his later life he did so many public acts of charity and building works for the church. Just like McBeth, he had blood on his hands and a desperate need to absolve his conscience. In the end they actually called him Good King Robert, but that is another story and I'll have to tell it another day.

So I hear you say:- "All well and good, but that is in the grisly middle ages. It's got nothing to do with me." 'Life Cycles' would say otherwise, but it's way too soon to get you to agree. You see it's all about the fateful moment in the 'Year of Broken Pathways', that then has implications for quite a few years to follow of uphill struggle. I'll be back next month with a tale from my own Australia. A tale of two 19 year olds, who made world headlines in the US in the area of crime. Who were they and why do I tell just one of their stories? Any correct answer will be published and lauded. Till then may the cycles always bring you good fortune.

John Lennon's 'Year Of Broken Pathways'

Hello again! As promised we are going to examine the life of John Lennon in just one 'Year of Broken Pathways'. This was the year when he was 31 years old, which was from 9th October, 1971 to 9th October, 1972. We are going to be looking for major direction change, that included fateful events and being somewhat 'out of control'. Matters would also take several years to resolve. This is the essence of the 'Year of Broken Pathways' and if it's a famous life, then the events can often be well known. In Lennon's case they actually made a documentary about it. Did you happen to see "The US vs. John Lennon"? If you did then you know exactly where I'm going.

In Sept. 1971 Lennon and Yoko arrive in New York. As Yoko says:- "John was in love with New York". It was regarded at the time as the centre of the creative world. John did not care what people thought about him, as long as he could get on the front page with the word 'peace'. However the problems that ensued with the government began when they befriended the anti-war activists Jerry Rubin and Abby Hoffman. He and Yoko saw them as fellow artists, but of course they weren't. They in turn saw Lennon as someone whose public profile would enhance their own cause. He became a pawn in their game. Things heated up when he offered to donate money to Bobby Seale, who was Chairman of the Black Panther Party. As a former FBI agent said:- "if you become his friend like this, you become the enemy of every law enforcement official/cop in the country". The authorities were terrified of him, he had so much sway:- "he had some intellectual force unlike types like Mick Jagger and others".

He then went ahead and demonstrated this power. Lennon sang a newly written song "John Sinclair", at the "Free John Sinclair" concert before 20,000 people and three days later the State of Michigan released him. Sinclair was co-founder of the White Panther Party, a prominent activist and was serving ten years for drug related offences. Do you think any of this government paranoia was known to Lennon at the time? Surely not, because this was all great fun for a natural rebel like him. He liked to be provocative. However his pathway was about to be changed forever. How could he have known that in July of the following year, 18 to 21 year olds were going to get the vote and his influence could imperil the Nixon administration.

His activist buddies hatched a plan to follow the Republican Re-Election rallies around the country and the next day hold a rally to preach against them, with of course Lennon up on stage to help draw a crowd. This would culminate at the Republican Convention in San Diego. When news of this leaked out Lennon became a political target. He realised his phone was being tapped and he was followed in his car. He became worried and frightened. Yoko said they knew it would have been very dangerous to appear in the rallies and they backed out.

In Feb. 1972 Senator Storm Thurmond suggested to Nixon that:-" deportation would be a strategic counter-measure" against Lennon and soon after notice was served to him. Because they were afraid of a big show trial, they used a former drug conviction in UK as the reason. Lennon knew why they wanted him gone, but he wanted to embarrass them over the reason:- "other pop stars have the same conviction, but come and go as they please.....because they don't speak out". Of course he simply could have left but he said :- "I like the place, this is where I want to be".

He hired an immigration lawyer, who kept on getting his stay extended, in what became a very complex case. With Nixon's re-election Lennon was marginalised and the FBI closed their file on him. However Immigration kept the case going for another two years. Lennon said:-" It keeps the conservatives happy something is being done and it keeps the liberals happy that I haven't been thrown out". His life became 'on-hold' and this coincided with the well-known 18 month 'lost weekend' with May Pang, Harry Nilsson and others in Los Angeles.....but that is another story and I'll tell it to you another time.

Nixon resigned over Watergate and was replaced by Gerald Ford in August 1974. Ford had little interest in continuing the battle against Lennon and his deportation order was overturned in 1975, at the same time as his 35th birthday and the birth of his son Sean. He called this the happiest day of his life.

This example meets every criteria of the 'Year of Broken Pathways' and its consequences, which take almost all of the rest of his 12 year cycle to resolve. It's fateful, it's important and it's life changing. It's happened to me and it's happened to you. But heck, John Lennon was just one guy I hear you say. And you know what, you're right! One swallow does not a summer make. I'll be back next month with another great story from murky, murderous old Scotland. Until then :- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Introducing "The Year Of Broken Pathways"

                               THAT'S LIFE

"That's life, that's what all the people say,
You're riding high in April, shot down in May....."

If you read too many motivation gurus and attend their high-priced seminars you'd believe perfection was easily within your grasp. You know:- "all your dreams can be realised, it's just up to you....(once you follow my system that is)" etc, etc. But we all know that isn't how life goes. It's not all a bed of roses. Honestly you should save your money and just buy a Frank Sinatra CD.

No, a good analogy for how life goes is a game of poker. Now I reckon I'm a pretty good local venue player and I've got a track record to prove it. Eight times end of season winner in 3 different poker leagues. I read the books, I watch it on TV. You'd think all I had to do was turn up and win. But that's not how it goes at all! I get long periods of no good cards. I get frustrated and then I explode internally when some lesser player outdraws my better hand. Oh the bad beats! They all hurt. Sometimes I swear I'm never going to play this stupid game again. Poker players can't remember their wins, but they can tell you all their bad luck stories.

Well I'm afraid that's life in general. Some wonderful highs and long periods of average and then a few moments we'd rather forget. A few meltdowns, a few run-ins, a few set-backs. We've all been there and it doesn't matter how stellar your overall performance may look. Now I want to take you back in time to when I sat across the desk and talked to people about their careers and lives. Thousands of people for almost 20 years when I ran my own management consulting practice. That's where 'Life Cycles' comes from. It's from real-life case history evidence. I didn't go to India to become enlightened or receive a special spiritual message. I can't tell you why 'Life Cycles' is so accurate. I can only tell you that it is. And my terminology isn't that mystical either. You know the 'Year of Revolution' is so-called because that's exactly what I observed happens to people. It's a revolution in their lives once every 12 years. That's the first lesson.

OK, so now I'm ready to introduce the second major term used in 'Life Cycles' analysis. You see when I thought about all the observations I made on the 12 year upheaval, I also began to look closely at whether there was any other year that correlated with important change. What I observed was that one year stood out in many people's lives and that was the year seven years after the 'Year of Revolution'. This time I observed a major change in direction that represented a challenge in people's lives. No, this was not merely 'having a bad day or a bad run' or a one-out drama. This was more fundamental and usually required a lengthy response over the next several years to accomodate. Once again the feeling was that:- "we are not fully in control".

The theme for this was challenge (and that can be equally for good or ill) and a change of direction. I termed this year the 'Year of Broken Pathways'. Once again it's not such a mystical notion, it says exactly what it is. OK, so the same applies to this year as to the 'Year of Revolution' :- "show us the evidence!" That is exactly what I aim to do in a series of articles, beginning with the life of John Lennon.

Lastly, I know you're all wondering what this year equates to in age (unless you're good at maths). It equates to the ages of 7 and 19 and 31 and 43 and 55 etc. It represents the second major plank of 'Life Cycles' theory. Don't worry you're going to get familiar with it. Until we meet again :- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Life Cycles-The First Lesson

This is a different post. I'm not featuring any famous or well-publicised people as teaching devices. No, this is a time for reflection on my previous eleven posts. Oh and of course it is a time to tell an unknown story.....my own! You know the vast majority of Revolution Year events happen in seemingly less significant ways. But that's only because our lives aren't written about much. It doesn't mean that my life isn't interesting as is yours. All lives are interesting! All Revolutions touch the person concerned in a fundamental way.

OK, so what happened to me when I was 36? Was I a bit like Napoleon? You don't think so? Read on. Leading up to this birthday I had been a management consultant employed by an international firm with a well-known pedigree. I had started to take a real interest in the largely unknown field of outplacement. Unknown at the time in Australia that is. Back then there were only two providers one in each of our two biggest cities. I put forward a business plan for our firm to get into it, including pinching a dissatisfied member of the rival firm's team. But I had a major problem in organisation life. I was too much of a 'one-outer', not a good 'brown noser' and my director told me "no" and said:- "that's like retreading old tyres". Then to my horror I saw a newly arrived older consultant, lunching this same director and announcing:- "I'm going to set up outplacement complete with an overseas study tour and a budget".

Well I was furious and discussed it at home. My wife said:- "Why don't you just go into business yourself". And very soon after with little preparation I did. I felt pretty let down by the whole thing. It was my "Trafalgar" moment. There I was doing bits and pieces of work when a colleague from another firm, who had gone into business at the same time told me of a colleague of his, in executive search, who was a friend of the principal of the leading UK outplacement company. Talk about six degrees of separation! I was put in contact with this person, who it turned out wanted to establish an Australian franchise. Well I had to dig deep and put my house on the line, but guess what I did and the rest as they say is history.

It was to be the start of my major career as I built the business from nothing to be a major player in this emerging market. And yes bigger than my old employer's operation. Such a moment has not happened before or since in my life. I answered the call and I won my own personal "Battle of Austerlitz". When I was in the middle of it, it didn't feel comfortable and it was definitely fateful. I wasn't in control. Now don't tell me any other theory can adequately explain this. It simply can't.

So what is the first lesson? Think about it carefully. It's in twelve parts (one for each post). Not a wasted word. In fact the whole blog symbolises the theory. Don't worry I'll teach you how later.

OK. The Year of Revolution is something you get every twelve years. It starts with birth (the greatest revolution of all) and happens again at 12,24,36,48.60 etc. Often the important mid-life age of 36 features strongly and sometimes 24 and 48, but and listen closely:- " all Revolutions are equal". They all involve important change ushered in through upheaval. At this time fateful events occur and we are not fully in control. They are symbolically equivalent to re-birth. You do not have to die to come to the next incarnation. You get a version of it when you're alive.

I know this is new and different and that people generally like the stories but are not sure of the whole theory. Well I didn't come across this to hide it under a bushel. No I came to share it with you all. This is not "the wisdom of the ancients". You are receiving it right now in your lifetime, from one of your peers.

My next post commences the next cycle, which will be full of interesting stories and lives of celebrities in meltdown and of course your next icon. Stay tuned and until then:- "may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Napoleon-The Ultimate Revolution

We're going back in time and I want you to experience the whole thing. Put on an overcoat, line up some toy soldiers, put your hand inside your shirt, play some military music and turn your baseball cap sideways. Now look at yourself in the mirror. Yes, you are Napoleon! I want you to feel what he felt. He is the embodiment of Life Cycles. Once you know his story you will forever know the theory.

It's 1805 and Napoleon turned 36 on 15th August. So we're concerned with events taking place from then till 15th August 1806. Now who knows their history? If I was to have talked with Napoleon on 20th October 1805 he would have told me of his grand plan to break the British naval blockade and then to mount a huge invasion across the English Channel and so capture the island nation and rule the seas. He was in fact so confident of victory he had commemorative medallions struck beforehand. His combined French and Spanish fleet under Admiral Pierre Villeneuve was numerically superior. It would take a bold move by the British to put it under pressure.

But this is no ordinary year for him. No, he is in his major mid-life year of Revolution and upheavals and surprises are the order of the day. What happened next was extraordinary. At 11.00am on 21st October Admiral Nelson ordered his ships drawn up in two parallel columns, which was an unorthodox manoeuvre. Outnumbered and outgunned 30,000 men to 17,000 and with six less ships, they produced the greatest British naval victory ever at the Battle of Trafalgar. The French-Spanish fleet lost 22 ships without a single British ship lost.

Napoleon would never rule Britannia or the seas. He wasn't aware however that his enemies Russia and Austria were preparing an assault on France, if he had taken his army across the Channel. This defeat now left him the chance to adjust his strategy and turn on Britain's allies instead. A lesser man would have been crushed, but Napoleon was a military genius.

Can you not see how 'out of control' of events he was even though he quickly saw an opportunity. This is the Revolutionary upheaval par excellence. What happened next was even more extraordinary than Trafalgar.

Now we flash forward to Dec. 2nd 1805, and Napoleon and his grand armee are facing the combined forces of the Austrian and Russian Emperors at Austerlitz in modern day Czech Republic. Days before he had given the impression his army was weak and that he desired a negotiated peace. He deliberately weakened his right flank to encourage an attack. Meanwhile he ordered troops march 110 kms (70 miles) from Vienna in 48hrs. for support, which proved crucial. The Allies marched right into his trap. As soon as they left the Pratzen Heights, Napoleon ordered his troops waiting in the valley below under cover of a thick fog to advance. As he passed by, his troops waved their hats at the ends of their bayonets and their shouts of "Vive L'Empereur" gave the signal for the battle to begin. Suddenly the sun burst through the fog at 8.00 am to reveal Napoleon's troops on top of the enemy. This was the famous "Sun of Austerlitz". Books have been written just about this. Check it out some time.

It was to be Napoleon's greatest moment. What followed next was something very rare in military history :- a complete and total defeat of one army by another in one day. It would scare many a foe from ever taking the field against him. It effectively handed control of Europe over to him with the surrender of the Austrian Emperor and the flight of the Russian Emperor. Never a more career-defining moment than this!

Now consider this. With Life Cycles I don't require you to believe in what I'm saying. It's a well-established fact. It all happened at age 36 in his important year of Revolution. I have the theory based on other case histories, but I substantiate it against well proven historical and sometimes recent facts.

Why do I write of Napoleon? "What has this got to do with me?" I hear you ask. "Nothing - that's what! I didn't conquer Europe, I wasn't defeated by Admiral Nelson! I live in the real world for God's sake." Well I'm here to tell you're wrong! You better believe it. Every life has a 'Sun of Austerlitz' and a 'Trafalgar' moment in it. We all triumph from the ashes in our own way. I wouldn't say it if I couldn't find supporting evidence from a confidential survey of my friends and associates given in Chapter Ten. Their stories are your stories if you know what I mean. I'll share my story with you next month. Yes true as you are reading this I say that you will be "swept away" twice in a symbolic sense in your Year of Revolution. I say it clearly:- "You are Napoleon and he is you!"

And this wasn't because Napoleon was a bombastic Leo with this and that angle in the heavens. It wasn't because he had a life path number of 1 or because he manifested the outcome in a 'Law of Attraction' manner. They all require you to accept the unprovable. Do constellations affect our personality? Are numbers really magic? Can you simply wish it or will it so? You'll never get any proof!

I am a voice from the wilderness. I am new and I am different. I only exist because I offer you proof. OK, so if we examined Napoleon's previous year of Revolution at age 24 would we find evidence of a related kind:- namely a superior strategic military victory? You bet I can! And not only was it similar but it happened around the same time in that year as it did in his 36th year. If you ask me I'll do a separate blog on this.

No-one and I repeat no-one has ever analysed life this way before. Keep tuned in to the blog that will one day change the course of history. Next month I'm going to draw this together and may even talk about myself a bit. Until then:- "May the cycles always bring you good fortune."

Will civilization 'as we know it' end on Dec. 21, 2012?

If I type in '2012 blogs' to Google, it brings up a staggering 261,000,000 items. Now they may not all be individual blogs, but it would be safe to say if you hadn't heard about all the gloom and doom merchants you're probably 'living under a rock!' So the big question is:- "Will it happen?" I've got to say straight up that I don't know anymore than anyone else. It may all happen Dec. 21, 2012, or it may happen May 6, 2010, or Jan. 4, 2025 or April 12, 2130. But the odds on it or any other 'end of world' scenario being correct are infinitesimally small.

So let's examine the main claim together:- that of the Mayan calendar. Wikipedia has an exhaustive article on the Mayan calendar, that falls in the 'too much information' basket, but it does say and I quote :- " Misinterpretation of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar is the basis for a New Age belief that a cataclysm will take place on December 21, 2012. Dec. 21st is simply the last day of the 13th b'ak'tun. But that is not the end of the Long Count, because the 14th through 20th b'ak'tuns are still to come. Sandra Noble, executive director of Mesoamerican research...considers the portrayal of Dec 2012 as a doomsday or cosmic shift event to be 'a complete fabrication and a chance for a lot of people to cash in'. " Elsewhere I read that the modern day Mayans consider this claim to be laughable and ridiculous and just an example of Western society hijacking their history.

So mathematically speaking there is no basis at all to speculate on the odds of this because the data is incorrect. But that doesn't stop people speculating. Remember when those planes were going to fall out of the sky when all the computers failed on Jan. 1, 2000? Or the myriad previous end of world scenarios. The only part of this that is correct is that on Dec. 22, 2012 those blogs will either disappear or produce some new date.

OK, now what has all this got to do with Life Cycles? Why do I care? The answer is I only care because my carefully assembled research means the complete reverse to the 2012 theories. Namely the possibility of my case histories happening by chance alone is equally infinitesimally small!

Read all my blog entries for 2009. I welcome you to check and double check what I say (because that's exactly what I do before I write). Now if I say to you that for many people (but obviously not for all) there is a very significant Revolution Year when they are 36, then I must be able to point to examples (and sometimes examples of age 24 and age 48 revolutions).Read Chapter Three of Life Cycles as I take famous historical figures and produce evidence. Look for yourselves at Aristotle, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Winston Churchill, Hitler and JFK. I didn't comb through a list of dozens or hundreds to get these I just read one summary after another. That's right every single case I studied is in there. Think about it. Do you think it a mere coincidence that Alan Alda began the MASH series at 36 or Jerry Seinfeld began The Seinfeld Show or Edward Woodward began Callan? Or David Frost who was at a major crossroads as shown in Frost/Nixon or Jerry Lewis who filmed his number one movie "The Nutty Professor" or Frank Sinatra whose career got resurrected from the ashes and I could go on and on and on.

Come on:- "you do the maths!" What chance do I have of being correct? Is it 1 year out of 70 (the biblical allotment)? Or 1 out of 30 (an average number of adult productive years)? Or is it simply 1 out of 12 (because I say every 12 years there is a revolution in your life)?

I don't care what you pick because I've just listed 15 consecutive examples and the chances of me getting it right by guesswork would be 12 to power of 15 or 1 in 1,540,702,160,000,000. Now the chance of getting dealt a Royal Flush in spades in a 5 card game of poker is 1 in 2,598,960. A lot smaller but still pretty big (as a poker player I've never been dealt one). What do you want to put your money on? :- Dec 21, 2012 (with immeasurably small odds) or something that is 592,814,880 times more certain than the possibility of getting dealt a Royal Flush?

I rant like this because I care that you should not be led by the nose. I'm the first person to say exactly this, but just because I'm a small voice doesn't mean you shouldn't listen. I'll be back next month with arguably the mightiest single Revolution Year of all. Don't miss it and until then:-"May the cycles always bring you good fortune".

Half Man, Half Tree- But One Incredible Revolution

Dede Koswara the Indonesian "tree man" has been written about and filmed extensively over the last couple of years. For those who don't know his story you can check it out on You Tube. He suffers from an extremely rare disease, whereby his body can't prevent the continual spreading of the common wart virus, which manifests in ugly tree-like growths on his hands and feet and warts over much of his body.

It had reduced him to the only job he could get, in a circus 'freak show'. He couldn't work as a fisherman or look after his two children and his wife left him. If things could be worse you would have a hard time thinking of how. His plight was captured on film for the Discovery Channel and an American dermatologist Dr. Anthony Gaspari saw it one night and became fascinated. The documentary team took him to Indonesia to meet Dede and he sent samples back for testing in the lab. He said:- "I've never seen anything like it in my life".

I also became fascinated by his case, but not for medical reasons. I saw a TV show "My Shocking Story" and the opening line got me in:- "36 year old fisherman Dede...". This whole unfolding episode 'Part 2 Tree Man, The Cure' was about what happened in this one man's important year of revolution. Remember there are two elements to the revoltuion. The first is that it is an upheval and the commencement of a new 12 year cycle and often this age 36 cycle coming as it does in mid-life, brings the most important changes. Secondly and this is equally important:-"as we experience it we are not fully in control of the outcomes". Fateful events can occur. The wheel is in spin and you are that roulette ball for 12 months. Life Cycles is brand new, totally different and has the most dramatic and statistically significant case history evidence supporting it. Don't think Dede's life isn't the same as your life, if you know what I mean.

Anyway back to the story. Dr. Gaspari wants to try a drug regime with a Vitamin A base. However the Indonesian Government did not like him sending samples to the US and wouldn't allow Dede to be taken there for treatment either. There is a clash of national pride here with the President of Indonesia personally involved. He orders Dede to be taken to hospital and that local doctors operate to get rid of the warts.

Now there is a constant media scrum at the hospital with every move reported. Dede feels alone and scared. Dr. Gaspari wants to join the Indonesian doctors and get involved but there is resistance. He knows surgery alone won't work. Then there is an about-face and Dr. Gaspari gets invited over and discusses a new treatment option involving chemotherapy. The local doctors want to do a skin graft, but Gaspari convinces them to hold off till he gets the chemotherapy drugs.

The wheel is spinning so hard it's difficult to keep pace. Unfortuneatly this is not Hollywood and Gaspari can't get the drugs in time and the difficult and dangerous skin graft goes ahead, with results looking bad. Now another twist and the chemo drugs arrive post-op and it looks like the combination will work. Dede is presented to the world as 90% cured of this terrible disease. He even gets a female admirer who contacts him and he says he wants to marry her.

I don't want to leave a stone unturned so I combed the net to find out what has happened since. The best I can come up with is that Dede's warts have grown back somewhat and a further operation happened at the beginning of the year. So it's not a complete fairytale, but I'm sure you can agree it's one incredible year in this man's life that turned the world media spotlight on and involved a President and a leading US medical expert.

Don't worry I'll be back next month with a complete change of pace and the most dramatic evidence yet of what it's like to live in a Year of Revolution. Till then :-"may the cycles always bring you good fortune".

The Revolution that almost changed the course of History.

Some of you may be familiar with the movie "Valkyrie" starring Tom Cruise. For those who haven't seen it, I recommend you watch one of the You Tube promos and even if you have seen it a while back, it's good to refresh your memory with sight and sound. You see the most important element of this movie is that it's a true story. I saw it last year on a long haul flight to the US and then immediately afterwards watched a historical re-enactment, complete with interviews of survivors, on the Discovery Channel. This confirmed for me just how accurate the movie version was.

"Valkyrie" depicts the 20 July 1944 plot by German army officers to assassinate Adolf Hitler, take control of the country and surrender to allied forces. The chief proponent of this idea was Colonel Claus Von Stauffenberg, who remembered an emergency plan known as Operation Valkyrie. After killing Hitler this would see the Reserve Army used to arrest the SS and Party elite.

It is Von Stauffenberg who has the bomb at Hitler's Eastern front headquarters, known as the Wolf's Lair. On July 15 he is there, but is ordered to go ahead too late because Himmler isn't present. So again on July 20 Von Stauffenberg is at the Wolf's Lair with two bombs and a pencil detonator. He has to feign a need to change his shirt to do the detonation, but since he only has one arm he just gets time to complete a single bomb. He carefully leans it against the main table support close to where Hitler is sitting. Why all this detail?

Well if so many things had just gone right then Hitler would have been killed. Probably on July 15; certainly if two bombs were detonated and again had his briefcase not accidentally fallen over and been moved to a location further from Hitler, then it would have worked. Why was this so important? Why ultimately should we care so much?

Well the answer is that Hitler lived, the July 20 plotters were arrested and shot and WW2 in Europe dragged on until June 6th, 1945. Now it is a fact of history that in the last year of the war there were more deaths and casualties, military and civilian, than in the entire preceeding period. Around 600 cities and towns were wholly or partly destroyed by bombing. Millions would have lived! It would have drastically changed the course of history. Unfortuneately the German people were associated with Hitler to the end and not with the decent Von Stauffenberg and the generals who were with him. No wonder Von Stauffenberg is taught in German schools and hailed a hero.

Why did I write all this? What has this got to do with "Life Cycles"? Well it has everything to do with Life Cycles. How old do you think Von Stauffenberg was when all these momentous events happened? Was he 28, or 32, or 35, or 39, or 44? No the most important Revolution year for many people and their career-defining crossraods is 36. Von Stauffenberg was 36! Check it out for yourselves. His Revolution year almost changed the course of history. Instead it only emboldened Adolf Hitler, who saw this as a sure sign the gods were with him.

I analyse Adolf Hitler in Chapter 3 along with many famous historical figures. However only those who read all of "Life Cycles" can possibly know exactly how it predicts Hitler's reaction to his lucky escape."Life Cycles" is both disarmingly simple, highly statistically significant and yet so complex, that it will take you 12 years to really grasp it. Check it out at the web page. Remember you're never going to see this anywhere else. And if you think I can't top this article, well you better keep posted for the next!

Charles Darwin-The Evolution of the Revolution

Why am I writing about Charles Darwin? For those of you who don't know it was the 200th anniversary of his birth this year and he is being talked about a lot.

Charles Darwin was a big celebrity in his day. In 19th century England people knew his famous voyage of discovery on the Beagle in his early twenties and his most famous book "On the Origin of Species", when it was published aged 50. Why was there such a gap between what he knew to be scientifically correct and the publication of his thesis, which is still as controversial as ever? Why take so long? What motivated Charles Darwin? What was the essence of his life? Once again we're going to take the entirely original theory called "Life Cycles" to get these answers. How many blogs are there in the world? How many books with the title "Life Cycles"? Remember you get this nowhere else! I don't require you to believe it, I only ask you read the evidence for yourselves. Wouldn't it be great if we could talk to Charles Darwin. I'll bet he'd be amazed that Evolution theory spread far and wide only to be re-challenged by Creationism or Intelligent Design. The dichotomy between science and religion is never more starkly revealed than in this debate.

Let's get down to just looking at his adult years of Revolution up to " On the Origin of Species". At age 24 he was part of the Beagle's voyage of discovery. He had already begun to make observations of the world slowly changing over great periods of time and species also changing to adapt. Was mankind however to be included in this equation? Just prior to turning 24 Darwin had his first encounter with the savages that lived on Tierra Del Fuego (known as Fuegians). He had no doubt that saveges like these could become civilised. Three such natives, who were anglicised, stayed behind to run a mission with Revd. Richard Matthews. What unfolded in his
24th year? The record will show that when the Beagle returned on Darwin's 25th birthday the mission was completely abandoned and the natives reverted. Progress was not to be in a straight line. Darwin would have to check his urge to claim good evidence here.

What was the continuation of this theme of hesitancy in his important 36th year of Revolution? Undoubtedly it was the controversial reception given to the book "Vestiges of the Natural History of Creation" published anonymously. It put forward in a scientifically amateurish way the cosmic theory of transmutation (which we now call evolution). It was released just before Darwin turned 36 and quickly became a best seller, being read by high society (including Prince Albert reading to Queen Victoria) and most other quarters. In fact it outsold Darwin's book for all of the 19th century. Darwin was critical of it's scientific deficiencies, but admitted it helped pave the way for him. It was also harshly criticised and a mockery was made of evolutionary ideas. It was cited as a major factor in Darwin's caution to publish his own theory. His quote includes:- "....other times I really feel as much ashamed of myself as the author of the Vestiges ought to be of himself". Darwin again learned a valuable lesson in what his contemporaries might do to him. He became hesitant about what to do.

Now what was the perpetuation of this theme again in his 48th year? Darwin was being urged by his friend and mentor Lyell to publish on evolution to establish precedence over Alfred Russell Wallace (who independently proposed Natural Selection). Wallace sent a letter to Darwin asking if the book would examine human origins. He said he would avoid that subject which was "so surrounded with prejudices". When "On the Origin of Species" was published and proved unexpectedly popular, his only allusion to human evolution was the understatement that:- "light will be shed on the origin of man and his history". He also avoided the controversial term "evolution", calling it "common descent".

Imagine Charles Darwin let me interview him. I'll bet he could see for himself how the theory of "Life Cycles" worked for him. An otherwise confident and erudite man, he was beset with doubt and hesitancy. What I propose is none the less groundbreaking as evolution was then. I propose that we keep returning to the same themes throughout our lives. It's written in our biographies, without so much as a second thought. We live in 12 year cycles and I have mapped the entire journey for you in my book. It's not atsrology or numerology or reincarnation or religion or anything else. Keep reading because I guarantee to fascinate you. You're on a journey with me and each stop is better than the last!

Lance Armstrong and the Miracle of the Revolution

Lance Armstrong is a legend in the sport of cycling. As big a colossus as Tiger Woods is in golf or Roger Federer in tennis. Seven times winner of the Tour de France and at the age of 37 he finished third and will probably compete again. What does the brand new and totally different Life Cycles theory have to say about him. What is the essence of Lance? What drives him? To find out the answer you have to first look at events in his years of Revolution. These are every twelve years, so this means particularly his adult years of 24 and 36.

Biographical summaries will say that just past his 24th year he was formally diagnosed with stage three testicular cancer. He had immediate surgery and chemotherapy and his doctor gave him less than 50% chance of survival. There can be no question that this awful disease became manifest in his 24th year. What a challenge did the Revolution bring! But he fought back. He finished chemotherapy in December 1996 and by January 1998 his cancer had gone into complete remission. He recommenced cycling and his first Tour de France win came in the next year.

What marked a continuation of this theme twelve years later? This time it coincided with a decision to return to competitive cycling, announced just prior to his 37th birthday, with the express aim of competing in the 2009 Tour. But now however he was doing it to raise global awareness of the cancer burden. He will receive no salary or bonuses and post his blood test results on-line. Can you see that he wants take the fight against cancer from a personal battle to an important social issue (as others have also done). His cycling however is the unique vehicle (excuse the pun) that gives him the global profile to do it.

What in particular is the miracle of this Revolution? In July 2008 (aged 36) Lance began dating a girl he met through his cancer charity work. She was quite unlike the previous high-profile actress and also a singer he had had relationships with. This time things were to be different. In December 2008 he announced that his girlfriend Anna Hansen was pregnant. My calculations put the conception within his 36th year (almost the same date as the announcement of his return). Although it was believed that he could not father children after testicular cancer, the child was conceived naturally and on June 4th, 2009 Max Armstrong came into the world (announcing it on Twitter to his 1.5 million followers). This birth is very special and you could say a personal miracle. However (and Lance doesn't know this) children linked to their parents' Revolution year will share a very special bond throughout life known as Confluence. There will be an unspoken knowledge of the needs of each other. He could also be destined for greatness in one way or another. Remember with Life Cycles we don't predict in the usual way.

You who read this I urge to tell others. I didn't bring Life Cycles into the world to gather dust or to disappear. I had my first TV interview recently and more will follow. I freely give this to you, but of course you can support me by buying a copy of my book "Life Cycles" (leave me a message and I can send you a signed copy to anywhere in the world). There is new knowledge and I can assure you that it leads to an unbelievable level of control in your life. Of course I'll have more stories for you. I could do this every day but I think good things are worth waiting for. I have one simple mission and that is to make Life Cycles known to the world. I'm currently doing this through my book/web site (www.lifecyclescollege.com) and this blog. I have easily enough interesting examples to talk with you daily, but instead I'm just going to select well-known people/stories, that will be to relevant to a wide audience.

You see there must be dozens, or is that hundreds or thousands of books called Life Cycles, but none are like mine. He will certainly be remembered by his fans as the 'King of Pop' and a true musical pioneer. No-one would otherwise know that I featured Michael's profile in Chapter 3 of my book "Life Cycles". This is a brand new way to analyse your life and features emphasis on just a few key years of significance to tell your life story. It may sound unreasonable, but I can tell so much about the essence of a person, from so small a biography. And I deal in facts only.....this is not a belief system like astrology or numerology or any other system. My book has won Awards and high critical praise.
Anyway, back to Michael.Let's look together at just his "Years of Revolution" (ie. every 12th year... so at 12, 24, 36 and 48 in his case). At 48 media coverage was given to his efforts to reform the Jackson Five and do a World Tour. He received the award of "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time" by Guiness World Records. What was interesting was the related series of Revolutioary Years, showing the same qualities of innovation and reflection. At 36 Jackson released the album "HIStory, Past Present and Future", which went on to sell 18 million copies worldwide. The first disc was a greatest hits compilation, while the second featured the single "Scream", with the most expensive video ever made.
Twelve years previously at 24, Jackson released his epic album "Thriller", which became the best selling album in music history and the video was cited as revolutionary in the industry and the best ever made.
To complete the picture even further, at age of 12 he released his first solo recording while remaining a member of the Jackson Five.
Can you see the same themes running throughout his life? Oh and by the way different themes run through your life and my life and everyone's lives. That's why I say on the cover:- "Take the journey of a lifetime......your own and everyone else's".

If you would like a copy of my new book and learn more why Life Cycles puts all other systems in the shade when it comes to actual evidence, just leave me a message and/or visit my award-winning website:-www.lifecyclescollege.com

There's always more to come and I can assure you that this blog is the most unique blog you'll ever read!!

Susan Boyle and Life Cycles

Susan Boyle is a big news item these days. Since her unlikely premiere performance on Britain's Got Talent she has gathered a huge army of followers and admirers. She represents all that is unusual. From a humble background and of shy and awkward nature, she stunned the judges and all who listened to her magical voice. She has since gone on to be interviewed on the Oprah Winfrey show and other accolades. All quite beyond her wildest imaginings I'm sure. Now I see that astrologers and numerologists are looking for evidence using their approaches to explain this miraculous transformation. However the brand new and totally different Life Cycles will shed an analysis that is unique.

You see Life Cycles has it's central philosophy that everyone undergoes a form of rebirth every twelve years. This is known as the 'Year of Revolution'. In this year we are relatively more out of control and fate takes a hand in unusual ways. We don't try to predict what exactly will happen, because we maintain that with free will we cannot know the precise answer. However we gather evidence just like the famous case of Susan Boyle and of course many, many others to show how the revolutionary year will operate. This evidence gradually can be built into a Life Chart which is unique for every individual.

In case you think I'm drawing an awfully long bow because Susan (birthday 1st April, 1961) happens to be 48 when all these extraordinary things take place, I will slowly cover other miracle stories in the same arena. You think 36 year old Paul Potts had a typical year the year he won Britain's Got Talent. I'll bet if I interviewed him he'd tell me quite a story, much of which I gathered second hand. What about 24 year old David Cook, American Idol of 2008.......now there's another great story.

Life Cycles most recent of it's seven official reviews said:-5 stars- "utterly fascinating....highly recommended" (John Burroughs Mid West Book Review). I shall continue to share these reviews with you. A small sample of readers have similarly endorsed it and most importantly both readers and reviewers have told me that the theory appears to be true in their lives.

The second is by way of having my opinions publicised about one (and one only) reviewer, who chose an exceptionally cursory and perfunctory approach. She read the first three pages (can you imagine:-this is the Introduction and the first page of the Prologue) and decided she didn't like the use of cliches. When she did not allow my comments to be published on her blogsite, I felt the only right and democratic way forward was to begin my own.

I was probably going to do this sooner or later, but now it's sooner. Has this happened to you? Have you come home and discovered someone has trampled all over your front garden? Sure you have. It has happened every time you missed out on a job you were well qualified for. Every time someone else got that promotion you wanted or discovered that someone had been schmoozing you to your face and stabbing you behind your back. Or not giving you the mark you deserved for your essay or assignment after you did a lot of hard work. Or rejecting your creative work:- be it music, literature, acting or something else. This blog is all about life in all it's gloriuos detail. I want to hear from open-minded progressive people, who can relate to what I write about.

I'm going to deal a lot with current affairs. You see "Life Cycles" is validated every day in the news and in the media generally. No other system (and I mean no other.....oops forgive the use of a cliche) does this. It is the only evidence-based theory of it's type and it's brand new so we don't have to go back thousands of years to the wisdom of the ancients. I'm going to show you "The Truth and The Evidence". So keep posted!
